I have duplicate team members in Quickbooks Time and I cannot archive them

Hello. I am setting up my company, and when I first opened my Quickbooks Online file, I began pre-entering employees, but then I deleted them because it appeared I would be billed for payroll users before I was ready to start using payroll.

Now I have added the same names again, and they appear as duplicates in Quickbooks Time. The archive link is disabled in all of them because "Employees and Quickbooks users cannot be archived".

In Quickbooks, they were deleted, not made inactive.

How can I eliminate the erroneous items in my team list?

Thanks.

I have duplicate team members in Quickbooks Time and I cannot archive them

Hi there, mtpropane. Thanks for reaching out and providing detailed information about your concern.

I'm here to help to archive duplicate team members in QuickBooks Time.

To delete a team member, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. Since only the admin can archive a team member in QuickBooks Time.

If you're trying to archive one team member, here's what you'll need to do:

  1. Go to My Team.
  2. Next to the team member's name, select More.
  3. Select Archive.
  4. Click Confirm.

If you're trying to archive multiple team members, follow these steps:

  1. Go to My Team.
  2. Select Add team members at the top left.
  3. On the lower left, choose Import from software.
  4. Select Spreadsheet (.csv).
  5. Click the Export team member list.
  6. Open the spreadsheet, and in the active column, change the status to archived.
  7. Save the spreadsheet.
  8. In QuickBooks Time, select Choose File, find the file, and select Open.
  9. Select Next, then Import List if everything looks correct for the import.
