1099 NEC

What is the latest status of Quickbooks being able to print the new 1099 NEC ?  I just upgraded my QBDT to 2020 this year and certainly expect to be able to print my forms in accordance to QB promise to have current tax forms

1099 NEC

Thank you for upgrading to QuickBooks 2020, ljkentucky.

Our development team is working on the printing and e-filing processes for QuickBooks 2020 and later versions. It will be released with the payroll tax table update by mid-December 2020. As always, you'll be prompted when a new tax table is available for download.

On the other hand, you may have seen it, but let me share this article that talks about form 1099-NEC: What is 1099, and do I need to file one?

Lastly, we are now starting to sell pre-printed kits for QuickBooks Desktop in case you are interested.

If you have other questions, feel free to go back to this thread.

So the 1099 NEC update will be handled through the Payroll Tax update ??  I know for me that could work for some of my clients but what about my clients who don’t do payroll in Quickbooks ?  How will they get the 1099 NEC updated file?
