I'd like to share some insights about the availability of the 941 forms in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
At this time, the 941 form isn't available in the system. We are still processing it to ensure that it has the latest updates that complies with the IRS. Rest assured that you'll be notified in the Payroll Center whenever it's already accessible.
On the other hand, I'd also recommend updating your QuickBooks regularly to improve program functionality and fix known issues. Here's an article that you can refer to guide you in doing this manually or in-product: Learn how to update QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
Lastly, you may visit this reference attached for more information regarding preparing and submitting your 941 form: Learn how to pay or file state and federal payroll taxes online.
Let me know if there's anything else that you need about this or with QuickBooks. I'll be around to lend a helping hand. Have a good one!

Hey there Mary Anne. I hope you're having a good day. To answer you question though, currently, the 941 has not been finalized but will be released as soon as possible. Keep checking back in your payroll center for a notification when it's ready. If there's anything else you need, just leave a reply below I'll be sure to get back with you. Have a great rest of your day.
Thank You! Do you have any idea when this report should be ready. I have read that many people have done up this report already. So Im confused why I can't get it.
I'll share further details about your follow-up concern, @Mary Anne.
Currently, we don't have a specific timeline as to when the Form 41 for Q2 2020 will be available in Quickbooks Payroll for Mac. That's why you're unable to get it for now. Rest assured that we're working diligently with the IRS to ensure its accuracy and to provide the form timely.
I'd suggest checking out this article from time to time: Forms Unavailable. We'll send updates once the form is available in the program from there. You can also bookmark the site for easy access in the future.
If you want to submit the form now, I recommend manually filing it to the IRS. You can run payroll reports to serve as your reference. Then, use the 941 PDF return so you can manually enter the information from there. After that, click the Download or Print icon.
As always, we want to make sure we're compliant with the federal rules and regulations. With this, you can visit this website: IRS Payroll Tax Compliance. Just go to the Quarterly Form 941 (Filing) section under Tax Forms. Then, click View to expand the details. It also has in-depth information about the withholdings, unemployment, other taxes, e-file, pay, agency, and employer registration.
Since you're using the 2019 version, I suggest visiting this website: User Guide. You can go to page 264 to learn more about managing your payroll preferences in QuickBooks for Mac.
I'm just a comment away if you need anything else. Take care always, @Mary Anne.
