Thank you kindly for your interest and guidance in a novice QB user's problem. Prior to my post, I had consulted customer support (via phone) 3x on this issue, and was made aware (the 2nd time) that there was a problem . . . but no solution has been forthcoming. (I do appreciate your confirming the problem though.) Concerning the creating an invoice, I receive an "application error in processing my request" so it seems I am prohibited in updating the info on the invoice until the -955 issue gets resolved. It is somewhat frustrating. Is there a workaround other than whiting-out the company name and writing in the proper?

I've checked our system and found out that the investigation of the error message you encountered when updating your company name in QuickBooks Online is still ongoing. It's the cause of why you're unable to save the changes on the Account and settings page.
Ongoing investigation means our engineering team is actively working on fixing the error permanently. Since you've already contacted our QuickBooks Support Team, you'll receive an email update once the issue is resolved.

Thank you very kindly for the acknowledgement of my problem. I followed your creating invoice instructions step by step (prior to this I had been trying to create the invoice in a different pop-up. Regardless, I still get the -955 error message. I will try cache clearing, incognito, etc. per other team member's recommendation but I am a bit dubious. It sure sounds as if it is indeed an issue for the engineers. I think it'll have to be white-out.
I tried incognito again. I still have not found success, though for the 1st time I have received a different error message than the every-previous-time msg of -955. This time (as usual working under changing company info under Accounts Settings), I received the error message -70012. (Idk if this was because I tried "playing around" with attempting a different company name). Again, I am simply trying to fix my company name, which is different than my legal company name. I have successfully updated info under payroll settings & payment settings, but cannot seem to change it under account settings or creating invoices without getting error messages. I am scheduled to receive an email hopefully by Tuesday 4/9 on an update, but I would love to find a workaround.

I see how useful it would be to have a workaround for this. Let me add info to the error messages 955 and 70012 in changing company info.
At the moment, this case is still in progress, and there's no documented workaround. The best way we can do is to wait for your scheduled email for updates.

I am getting the same error code while trying to update company info and customizing my invoice. It will not let me customize any field! I have tried different browsers, etc and nothing is working. Any solution yet??
