Customer preferred payment and invoice delivery method report

I am trying to run a report to provide the CURRENT preferred invoice delivery and payment method for our customers.  Adding payment method filed to a customer transaction report is not relevant as customers can change their preferences.  The Customer contact and phone list reports do not provide the option to select these fields.  Thank you!

Hello there, @Ajohnston.

 

Customizing the payment to your customer is quick and easy. I'm here to guide you on how to do it.

 

You can pull up the Transaction List by Customer report and filter the payment you want.
 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu at the top, then pick Customers & Receivables and Transaction List by Customer.
  2. Select the Customize Report, then click Filters.
  3. Under the Choose Filter, locate the Payment Method.
  4. Click the drop-down menu, besides the All payment methods from there payment method you want.
  5. Hit OK.

Also, you can memorize the report so you'll bo longer go through the same customization process.

We would like to be able to run a report that includes the "customer preferred invoice delivery method" but we don't see this field in any available selection criteria.  Can this be done and if so how.

Hello Sally, thank you for joining the conversation. I'm here to assist you in generating a report that displays the preferred delivery method in QuickBooks.

 

To do this, you can run the Sales by Customer Detail report and customize its display column to show this info. Let me show you how:

 

  1. Go to Reports and select Sales.
  2. Click Sales by Customer Detail.
  3. Select Customize Report, then go to the Display section.
  4. In the Columns search field, search the Preferred Delivery Method and mark it as check. 
  5. Click OK

You can also memorize reports if you want the same settings of the customized report to be available for future use.
