Error in extras bootstrap [TypeError: Cannot read property 'child' of undefined]

Intuit, Please fix this QBO error.  It's a terrible time of year to have issues accessing payroll information.

Error in extras bootstrap [TypeError: Cannot read property 'child' of undefined]

Hello guys,

This error can occur if there's an interruption between the app and your OS. Here's what we can do to get rid of the error:

  1. Restart your device.
  2. Open your QBO app and log in to your account.
  3. Click the Help menu and select Reset App Data.
  4. Close and reopen the app.

Let me know how this goes so I can further assist you.

Will this cause any issues with the data that's inside QBO? Will we lose anything??

Good to see you in this thread, camp88.

Resetting app data on your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app plays the same role as clearing the cache from your web browser. Doing so helps refresh applications and eliminates common issues. Thus, it'll not cause any data from your QBO account.

To reset your app data, follow the below steps:

For Android devices:

  1. From More Options, then select the Settings tab.
  2. Choose the Refresh Data menu.
  3. Hit Yes

For iOs devices:

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select Reset App Data.
  3. Click OK.
