When I searched "how to export item list in QB for Mac to Excel" the answer gave me an instruction that wasn't available (choose MS excel)
How can I export my item list so that I can use it in Excel?
There is an option for an IIF file, not sure what that is, and when I chose that, I was never given a window to choose "where" to save it. Said the export was successful, but I couldn't find the file. And searching .iif did not come up with anything.

The problem might be the setting about default download folders.

Thanks, but I'm not sure what setting the preferences in Safari will do. I do not use Quickbooks OnLine. I use the Mac Desktop version.
I figured it out. Instead of the List, I exported through the Inventory Worksheet.
