When I run my 2020 Balance Sheet, I find $9750 in Undeposited Funds . . . it's two separate deposits of $4875. Double-clicking on the $9750, I can see the two amounts of $4875 in November and December of 2020.
When I run my 2021 Balance Sheet, they are gone. (Everything is reconciled with my checking account.) It appears that I must have mis-dated the deposits (dating them into 2021??) . . . how can I correct this? Do I need to Delete these deposits and re-deposit them?

I ended up deleting the deposits, correcting the Payment Date (back to 2020), and then redepositing . . . fixed the issue. Thanks for all the help.
Open the chart of accounts, find the bank, scroll and find the deposits, then edit the date if possible, if not delete and redo them
Thank you so much for your quick response . . . the dates in the check registry are properly recorded in 2020. So what did I do? (I think I was behind a couple of months recording payments, specifically the 2020 November and December payments.) So in January when I sat down to catch up, that's when I probably recorded receiving the payments for the last two months of 2020 . . . the date receiving the payments would have been in 2021. I guess my question is: if I dated receiving the payments in 2021, but dated the check registry deposit in 2020, is that what is going on?
Hi sduttonusa,
Thank you for the additional information. I'm happy to explain what's going on with your payments and report.
Basically, you received the payments in November and in December 2020, and you deposited them sometime in 2021. It's similar to receiving payments today and let them stay in your drawer for some time, then deposit them in the future.
Depositing the payments transfers the $9750 amount from Undeposited Funds to your Check registry. That's why when you changed the year of your Balance Sheet to 2021, you no longer see that amount in the Undeposited Funds account.
You can open each $4875 payment again. Then, click the Reports tab and choose Transaction History to see the exact date you deposited them.
On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend changing anything on your deposit. Like you've said, the dates in the check registry are properly recorded, and the transactions are reconciled. You may however change the dates of the payments if you find out that they are incorrect.
Hope this clears up everything. Let me know if you have more questions. Take care and have a good one!
