We've already received feedback and we'll be considering adding an option to remove it, tomfegley01 and brconsultingid2.
I'll personally notify them again that you're also receiving the Capital ad.
Always know that the Community is around if you need anything else.
We pay ALOT of money for QB and we should be able to choose to NOT have ads appear. PLEASE DELETE THE QB CAPITAL AD from the QB PAYMENT SCREEN. It affects the usability of that page.
What is the update on this fix? Having ADs forced on us, after paying $$$$$ for your software, if completely disrespectful, distracting as hell (we're trying to run businesses!!) and makes me want to look elsewhere for my accounting software solutions. UNBELIEVABLE!
Please update us. I guarantee there are thousands of people who feel the same way.
Hi there, CoMtn.
The investigation with QuickBooks Capital ad has already been closed. You can close the ads by clicking the X option. If you're not seeing it, you might have the large scaling and resolutions.
QuickBooks Desktop display is optimized for 1280x1024 screen resolution or higher at 100% scaling. Just modify the software display settings to the closest suggested screen resolution to get the Close button visible.
Also, there are other options if they can't get the display settings up to the 1280x1024 (such as on a laptop). Use keyboard shortcuts below:
You can also force the ad's screen to a full-screen view to close the ads.
If the QuickBooks Capital ad still prompting, I'd suggest contacting our Technical Support Team to investigate this one. They can also open a new case for you.
Here's how to them:
Keep us posted if you need anything else in QuickBooks Desktop. I'll be here to help.
Thanks for pointing this out, brconsultingid2.

I've just noticed a stupid ad that is showing up in my payroll that is advertising business funding.
I think QB's has been hacked and everyone's information has been stolen or sold to an outside company.
QB's should not have any ads and with security breaches being rampant I think this is a major security breach. If it was legitimate we should have been warned. Someone needs to alert everyone including accounting firms of this security hack.
Thank you for the feedback, @Kallens55.
I'll send feedback to our engineers about the ad that's showing up when working with payroll so they can review this further. Also, I encourage contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Support Team for them to open your account securely, and be able to help remove the ad to work with QuickBooks seamlessly.
To contact support, follow the steps provided in this article: Contact the QuickBooks Desktop Customer Support Team.
Post again if you have any other questions. I'm always here to lend a helping hand. Have a good day!
Hello there, Kallens55.
In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), help is always accessible whenever you need it. There are built-in "self-help" options available to help you search for troubleshooting and other helpful "how-to" type of information and it's for free. Let me guide you how.
You can also select the Ask Intuit option where you will be routed to the QuickBooks Help page and be provided with helpful topics to effectively manage your account.
Furthermore, our customer service also offers Care Plan to enhance your experience with the software. You can refer to this article for its offering, price, and benefits: Care Plans for QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, and Mac.
Please let me know if you have other concerns.I'm just around to help.
I need the capital ad removed from employee center. I don't see any help info for that.
Can you help me get rid of this?
I don't think there's a way. Joy, isn't it?
At least you're not using QB Online. No one needs that amount of grief.
I NEED HELP GETTING CAPITAL AD REMOVED FROM EMPLOYEE CENTER!!!!!
No one from Quick Book's has even contacted me to discuss how some other company could get into our account or to assure our company that information hasn't been stolen. I am not being rude in any way. I am responsible for the safe keeping of all employee information and should be allowed to question the security of their sensitive information and who is accessing it.
I just want to know who at quick books is giving out information to outside companies. Every time I have tried to post these questions someone who is monitoring this site is deleting the post. I am not out of line to question these things and why would an accounting program allow outside parties to advertise????? Are they selling ad spaces like old fashion road side billboards??? This isn't appropriate. If anyone knows how to get these ads removed and the proper steps to block them please let me know. I have called, emailed, chatted and posted all to quick Books with NO answers. I have tried updates, resetting the pop up blocker and any other suggestion that I have been given. Nothing is working.....
None of this helps when you want to get something accomplished NOW, instead of waiting for the pretty much useless customer help. I can't tell you how many times I've asked for that "help" and they either don't have a clue or promise to get back to me - and don't. And the built-in help that comes with the program is so non-intuitive it's nearly impossible to get any answers there either.
Just (today, 3/16/20) began getting the message "Get quickbooks funding when it matters using Quickbooks Capital" strung across my receive payments screen AND my payroll screen - What the hell? It annoys me to no end. Turning off these kinds of messages does nothing to remove it. So making a suggestion with customer service isn't worth my time. Almost always when I search for a solution online to various issues, I'll find complaints going back 10+ years, and QB's response is always "we're working on a solution to that problem." Year after year after year and the problems are still not fixed. QuickBooks does NOT listen and they just don't care about their users's opinions/requests for help. The most ANNOYING aspect is that it has shoved the bottom line off screen. I cannot see the totals. I see NO REASON why I should have to adjust my display resolution that has always worked perfectly, or make other adjustments myself, so you can have space to SPAM my program. What gives QuickBooks??????????????
I am SO tired of dealing with this crap from QB. And more irritated all the time.
