How do I change the display? I can’t see full invoices or quotes when they are open and not all the fields (bars on right to move line items for example) are visible.

Is there an upgrade that I need?

I'd be glad to help you view the full invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @bertwjesje-hotma.

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this fixed.

We can zoom out the page by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and the minus (-) key repeatedly. You can move the wheel of your mouse downward while holding the Ctrl key.

QuickBooks also requires these settings to ensure that all pages are displayed properly:

  • Screen resolution set to 1024x768 or higher
  • Dots-per-inch (DPI) set to Normal or 100%

I've listed the steps below in checking these settings on your device.

For Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Hold down the Ctrl and the plus (+) key to zoom in and make the page larger.
  2. If you have a wheel on your mouse, hold the Ctrl key down and move the mouse wheel forward or back.

For Google Chrome:

  1. Go to the menu icon (looks like a three-dotted line) on the upper right of the screen.
  2. Locate the Zoom option.
  3. Choose the plus (+) icon to zoom in and make the page larger. It should be set to 100% or lower to display the full page.

For more details, see this article: Unable to see the entire page in QuickBooks Online.

If the issue persists, let's access your QuickBooks account through a private browsing window to check if it's is a browser-related issue. This mode doesn't save site data and cache files. You can press Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome, Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox, and ⌘ + Shift + N for Safari web browser.

If the page looks good, we'll have to go back to your normal browser and perform a clear cache to clean up your system and enhance your browsing experience. We also use other supported browsers to isolate the issue.

I'm also adding this article to further guide you in managing the growth of your business using QuickBooks. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses, to name a few. You can click the + More topics button to view other selections.

If you mean on the invoice page, the side panel automatically slides out and blocks fields on the invoice, I am having the same problem and was told by QB Friday, there is no way currently to fix that.

This issue didn’t exist in the past. I can’t stand the program in this current format. Feels like a demo without full functionality.

Hello there, @alabamarolltide and @bertwjeske.

I'm here to share information concerning the sidebar pops out when you open an invoice or an estimate in QuickBooks Online.

The side panel that pops up on the invoice are default function in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Once you turn on the billable expense, items will show on the left side, allowing you to add them to your invoice.

Furthermore, we can freely click the X button to remove these fields so you can continue with your tasks.

I'm adding this article as an additional guide for tracking invoice payments: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.
