How do I run the PPP Forgiveness report after Dec 31, 2020?

Did your bank or SBA actually accept your report? They did not accept my report from QuickBooks multiple attempts using different payroll reports. They only accepted the PPP Compensation Report because they think it came from QB payroll services due to the QB logo. This is a known issue:  bank-doesn-t-accept-qbo-payroll-as-third-party-payroll-provider   They were not accepting QB payroll reports generated from QB to Excel or PDF because they claim it can be manipulated. If they changed their stance let us know, but I'm seeing this issue with a lot of applicants. A trick is to export the report to Excel and add the QB logo to the report if you have a PDF editor.

Your answer does not fix the problem. This is not user error. It is impossible to run a report for the second round PPP as a date can not be picked past 2020. The problem is on QBs end, so please report this issue to your engineers. Your customers need this report NOW.

We want this fixed as much as you do, Linda33.

Our engineers are working diligently to come up with a resolution. While we're waiting for a fix, we have some workaround that you can use:

  • If you got loans from outside banks, other payroll reports may work for your needs.
  • If you got your loan through us, no other payroll reports are allowed if your loan underwriter is asking for reports.

Also, I suggest reaching out to our payroll support. This way, you'll be added to the list of affected users.

Feel free to let us know if you have other payroll concerns. We're available 24/7 to help you. Take care!

AGAIN-still not hearing us----calling into the Intuit support line is a HUGE waste of our time and I do not understand how and why Intuit continues to underestimate the worth or importance of their customers!!!

Come on try harder please!   Also please stop asking me to call in-that just makes this matter even worse.

Glad I didn't attempt to call in today!  I've already spent years of my life on hold with QB support at this point.  How does it take engineers to allow a date range on a report?!?  October 1st and still no fix, after this was first reported months ago.  Horrible.

Well like sands in an hour glass, Intuit QB continues to drop the ball. Or maybe they simply have no intention on fixing this and simply making their customers make their own reports for this.

Those reports were extremely helpful on the 1st round of the PPP. Of course those reports are absolutely useless this go around. Being that this issue has been reported for months now, we can only assume they have no intentions on fixing these reports.

I've been with QB for over 15 years, maybe it's time to look into other software.

Today is Oct 11th, still unable to download round 2 forgiveness reports, so frustrating. Just online chat with QB customer service, the lady refer me to this chat, seems not solution yet! Really don't understand why QB cannot have it fixed after months of waiting.

Today is Oct 11 2021, after months of waiting seems QB still able to solve the problem. We are 8 week calculation which ended April 4th 2021, please have it fixed urgently so I can complete my task.

I am having the same issue and have been on chat with support more than once.  As of today, October 19, 2021, the "investigation" into the issue of not being able to change the FTE report's dates for the covered period (in our case our second PPP loan was disbursed in 2021) continues with no resolution in sight.  Given the fact that forgiveness is time sensitive and calculating FTE manually (for a covered period of 24 weeks) is time consuming to say the least, you would think a higher priority would have been put on resolving this issue that has been going on for months.  To my knowledge, no other payroll report can quite summarize hours worked by employee, by week without cumbersome manual running of separate reports per week and then creating an excel spreadsheet to calculate the FTE by employee, by week, with hours worked.  If you know of a report to accomplish this in a simpler manner, please let me know.

Still can't run this report October 19, 2021.  You would think this issue would have been fixed.  Forgiveness is important and it is time sensitive.  Calculating manually is labor intensive, and to my knowledge other payroll reports cannot summarize hours worked by employee, by week, over a 24 week covered period.  I've tried a bunch of them....to say I'm frustrated with QB is an understatement.

Tried chat and phone calls with QB support several times, with no results.  It's nothing but frustrating being told you are working on it.  It should not take MONTHS for something this important!   This is not the first issue we have experienced where an "investigation" is on-going with no end in sight.  Things just never get fixed and we are told to "work around".  We have QB software for a reason, to make our jobs easier, not harder.

I can see the urgency of getting this resolved, howard1144.

At this moment, we aren't able to give a specific timeframe when the issue will be resolved. Since they're still working on it and conducting further investigation, I'd suggest performing the troubleshooting steps provided by Kristine Mae as a workaround.

I also recommend contacting our Customer Care Team, so they'll add you to the list of affected users.

We appreciate your patience while we work for a fix. If you have additional assistance while managing your QuickBooks account, let me know. I'll be around to provide further assistance. Have a nice day.

How do I run the PPP Forgiveness report after Dec 31, 2020?

I finally made a call to my bank.  IDK if all banks will except the same reports, however, I was told to provide them with two reports.

1.  Payroll detail review

2.  Payroll item detail.

My loan has been forgiven with these reports.

Then you got fortunate because for most, including myself, these reports are not being accepted by the SBA.

Has this been fixed yet?  I can't get it to work but I did not download the 2022 version yet.  Do I need to do that first or is it still not working even with that update?

I submitted my application to Chase using the payroll summary report along with bank statements. I added a note explaining the issue with QuickBooks and submitted proof of my QuickBooks license. Chase accepted my application and SBA has forgiven the loan. Not sure if every bank is as flexible but worth a try if SBA accepted it. Their own instructions say if you do not use a third party payroll report, then you have to include bank statements along with your payroll data.

Strange this critical important 'CUSTOMER' requested 'FIX' is being denied - yet the QB Engineers have the resources to implement:

1) "Benefits & HR" - Income and Employment Verification with Equifax Credit Agency - sharing payroll information . . . (Automatically Activated unless you locate and uncheck it).

2) Automatically going to send out emails to employees - unless you DELETE any email addresses in their Employee Information - - - so we deleted all email addresses - the only solution QB could provide.

To save you time and give your employees electronic access to their pay info, we'll be turning Workforce on automatically to give employees greater access to their pay, banking, and employment info. We expect to begin inviting employees to Workforce on or around September 20, 2021.

Instead of you having to manually invite employees to Workforce, we'll automatically invite employees to create a Workforce account. We'll invite employees using their contact information from QuickBooks Payroll. We'll start inviting current employees who are set to active and getting paid, and when you add new employees, they'll be invited automatically.

This change will allow employees to view, edit, and manage their personal, banking, and payroll withholding information, keep on top of their pay details, and access important documents like paystubs or W-2s. There's no additional cost for you or your employees to use Workforce.

"Still, you can use other payroll reports for necessary information. You can filter the important details you want to add to your QuickBooks reports." - CAN YOU AT LEAST TELL US WHICH OTHER REPORTS TO RUN IN DETAIL?

Unhelpful!

Thanks for joining this thread and letting us know you're experiencing the same problem as the other users, @ GoodJuju85.

I'm joining in to share some insights about this reporting concern. Also, I need to make sure what issues did you encounter?

You can find PPP reports at the bottom of the Reports tab. Can you access them, or are you getting error messages when generating them?

If these options are missing, we have an ongoing reported issue for this. Our engineers are currently generating a fix to let our users access the reports for tracking and compliance purposes.

We need to have you call our support to add your account to the notification list. Our engineers are periodically sharing the status of this issue through email. Refer to this article to learn more about our contact options and support availability: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.

In the meantime, you can run a Payroll Transaction Detail or Payroll Summary report from QuickBooks to get your employee amounts needed for the report. You can go to the Reports menu, then Employees & Payroll.

I want to make sure this issue is taken care of. Come back here anytime if you need further assistance payroll and PPP reporting concerns. I'll be right here if you need help with QuickBooks tasks. Have a wonderful day!
