Thanks for getting back here in the thread, @bdrickards.
You can change your invoice by clicking the Edit work info and it's located in the invoice toolbar at the bottom part.
Let me walk you through the steps on how:
3. Select the Edit option.
4. At the bottom part of your invoice, choose the Edit work info.
5. Edit your invoice.
6. Once done, save the modified invoice.
If you weren't able to see the Edit work info button, you can contact our QuickBooks Support. This way, they can check your account and investigate why the edit button is not showing on your invoice page.
If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to leave a message in the comment section.
Hello there, @bdrickards.
Thank you for posting here in the Community. I can help you edit invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
If you're using the web browser to access your account, you should be able to find the Edit work info option on your invoices. It's visible in the upper corner or the header section of the transaction.
I suggest you try following these steps:
In case you're unable to locate the option using the browser, I recommend you perform some troubleshooting steps. I'd first suggest logging into your account using a private browser.
Use these keyboard shortcuts depending on the browser you're using:
If it works, please switch back to your regular browser and clear its cache & historical data. The process helps restore the default setup of the browser.
In case private browsing doesn't work, use other supported web engine to get the best and most secure experience with the program.
I've also attached an article you can use to learn more about how you can set up online payments for your customers: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions. I'll be happy to help you some more.
Unfortunately, that screen does not appear when I select "edit." I've tried different browsers, incognito mode, etc. No matter where I look, I don't have the option to change any of the original company information I inputted for the invoice form. I did everything the way you laid out.

What do I do when I save my changes, but the invoice keeps reverting back to its previous saved state? I keep editing an invoice and changing the customer message, then clicking "save as draft." When I re-open the invoice, the old customer message shows up.
I appreciate you for sharing the details of your issue with us, @BMcCarty2012.
I'll share some insights on how to get around the issue your having with your invoice. I recommend logging out and logging back in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account to refresh it and for the changes to take effect.
If this is not the case, I suggest accessing your account in a private or incognito window and accessing your invoice from there. This way, we can also check if this is a browser caching issue.
The browser uses cache and cookies to swiftly load web pages faster the next time you visit a site. However, when it gets full, it causes an issue that hinders the performance of your account.
Accessing it via a private window helps us verify the issue as this doesn't store any cache files. To open an incognito window, please refer to these keyboard shortcuts:
If you're able to save the settings of your invoice, I recommend logging back in to your account via a regular browser and clearing its cache. Using other supported browsers also helps isolate this matter.
When everything is set, you'll want to check out this article that can aid you in swiftly managing your transactions: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I'm only a few clicks away from you if you require more assistance with your invoice or QBSE account. Please feel free to leave the details in your reply and I'll take care of them for you. Keep safe and have a good one!
