Buy now & saveGreetings,
I'm helping our treasurer who uses QuickBooks to manage our non-profit club finances.
Most members renew their annual membership for the next calendar year around Nov/Dec of the current calendar year. Also, we have Lifetime Memberships and 10-Year Memberships. Most annual members have already renewed for the 2020 calendar year. Some still have not.
How do we track and report on all annual members who have NOT yet renewed? How to we track and report on expiration dates for the 10-year and Life members?
Thanks in advance,
John
Glad to have you here on the Community page, @jks0756.
QuickBooks Desktop does not support subscription type of business. Thus, recording or managing your non-profit club finances may need to run reports manually.
An example is, you categorize the customer type for annual or 10 years. When creating an invoice for annual members, customize the filter to customer type annual. Then, the report's date range would be this year. To show who paid this subscription. For the members/customers that don't have records for invoices/missing on your report, they are the ones who haven't paid yet.
Or, you can invoice them all at once, then run a report on Cash basis so those who paid will show up.

Does QuickBooks Online support subscription type business?
Thanks!
One more thing...
Running reports manually will work, but how do you set a flag or trigger to indicate a member has paid or has not paid?
Thanks!
John
Thanks for coming back, John.
QuickBooks Online also does not support a subscription-based business. However, we can try finding a third-party app that can manage your customer list and will remind you if a member is about to renew or their membership is about to expire.
I'm bringing this idea to our product engineers, so they can consider adding a reminder option in future updates. I believe this can also benefit other users who are in a subscription-based business.
On the other hand, you may want to check our blogs to keep yourself updated with the current changes in QuickBooks.
We welcome new ideas. Feel free to share more with us.

Thanks for the information. What I'm really after is a way to run a report at any point in time which shows who has not paid their annual dues. For example, anytime during the year from 1/1 to 12/31/2020 I need to see a list of annual members who've not yet paid their renewal dues. Same for 10-year members. Thanks, John
Hi John,
You can run a Customer Balance Detail Report in QuickBooks Online. Please ensure to filter the date to this year to show unpaid transactions of your members.
