The option to check the code that was sent to your QuickBooks email address is unavailable. As a workaround, you can send the receipts individually to your customized QuickBooks email.
For more information on how to manage your receipts in QuickBooks, you can check out this article: Email receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.
I've also added this article that can help you match your receipts in QuickBooks Online: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. This also contains troubleshooting steps you can perform whenever you encounter any issues while matching or downloading the bank transactions.
Please don't hesitate to tag my name in the comment section below if you have other questions. I'd be glad to answer them for you. Take care.
Thanks, can i add this to the suggestion box? I just need that code sent from the google server, it would be a HUGE time saver.
Good Afternoon, @FelixZ.
I hope you're having a great day so far. I'll send feedback to our Product Developers so they can consider this in one of the upcoming releases for the QuickBooks Online.
You can also check out our QuickBooks Blog to see what's new in the product.
If you have any other questions or concerns, just let me know. Have a splendid day!
Bump, this will be a huge time saver. We use Gsuite for business and it's not possible to setup forwarding without verifying the email address we want to forward to.
I was able to work around this by using a group in gmail and making my QB address a member of that group, however it still doesn't work.
The "From" address on the email doesn't get changed from the address of the company that sent the receipt, and so QuickBooks rejects the email because that's not one of your listed senders in QuickBooks.
I was searching for solutions in case someone else found a workaround for this limitation, but so far I don't see anyone else that has even gotten as far as I have. :-/
Thank you for sharing what you did, sherbang.
At this point, I would recommend contacting our Support to check your setup further. They can use a screen-sharing tool throughout the process to get to the bottom of this. They are open from 6 AM to 6 PM PT, Monday through Friday.
If you have other questions please let me know.
For those of you still struggling to verify your gmail forward to Quickbooks, I have a workaround solution, which will give you the same functionality using Zapier - this is working for me - Although, you would have thought QB would resolve this verification step issue, surely it's not too difficult for them to show you the code when you login.
Here's a link to the Zap https://zapier.com/apps/gmail/integrations/gmail/9993/send-emails-from-gmail-when-you-label-new-mess... - you will need a zapier account, I think the free account would still work for this, if you don't already use zapier.
I set this up so when I add a label to an email in Gmail, the Zap runs and sends the attachment to Quickbooks.
You can add forwarding through the admin console which does not require verification
go to 'Apps' > 'Google Workspace'.
Once there click on the icon for Gmail
Scroll down and click on 'Default routing'
And then click on 'Configure' or 'Add another'.
Under 'Single recipient' enter the Google Workspace email that will be forwarding the emails to QBOdocs.com.
Then on the step 2, select the option for 'Also deliver to - Add more recipients'.
Click on 'Add' and enter the email address for qbo docs'.
Finally, select the option for 'Perform this action on non-recognized and recognized addresses' and click on 'Save'.
This should take just few minutes to propagate
This is great, and thank you for sharing. I have one question, though:
It seems as though this will forward any email from a "non-recognized" address. Should I set up, for example, an internal email within GSuite to which incoming receipts can be filtered to? For example, I receive an receipt at my personal email, filter it to the general internal receipts inbox, and from there it is autoforwarded to QBO?
Just want to make sure I'm not sending/sharing every email that comes through from a new sender to QBO.
Thank you for your help/guidance!
Can't believe QBO doesn't offer a simple solution for this!!
You won't be able to verify but I have found a workaround. It will take 10 minutes to set up but it is working

I spent hours trying to solve this, happy that I could find this resource!
Yes, I had the same thought. It would seem that there is no way to delineate emails labeled "receipt". Anyone have any ideas?
