I cannot send invoices via email to my customers, I used to be able to do this in previous months but now cannot, I have not changed anything in my profile.

Let's verify and review undelivered invoices via emails in your QuickBooks Online account, fredsgwen.

 

In QuickBooks, an email fails to deliver if the email address is incorrect or there's a temporary issue with the recipient's email server. With this, please make sure you associate the correct email address with each of your customer accounts and check the status of the sent invoice. Doing so will ensure they receive their invoices and pay them in real time.

In the meantime, you'll want to download your invoices and send them manually through your preferred email service provider. To do this:

 

  1. Go to Sales, then click the Invoice tab.
  2. Open an invoice you want to send. 
  3. Click the Print or Preview tab on the bottom part of the screen. 
  4. Then, click Download

I cannot send invoices via email to my customers, I used to be able to do this in previous months but now cannot, I have not changed anything in my profile.

I am having the same problem, but with the desktop version.  I have Desktop Pro Plus 2024 and I have just spent 5 hours trying to figure out why I suddenly cannot email my invoices. 

I use Comcast.net for my email. 

My password is correct. 

The SMTP server and port is correct : smtp.comcast.net   and   587. 

Quickbooks is unchecked on the Run this program as Administrator option. 

 

I have never had this problem before.  Quickbooks did have a big update recently.   I tried emailing an invoice to myself and that didn't work.  I tried emailing an invoice one at a time and that didn't work.

 

I do not want to download all of my invoices one at a time to send them via comcast directly.  That is insane.

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.6.0.5) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. Once done, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
