I can share some information on how to remove the text of your invoices, @accounts501.
You'll have to edit the notes in the Add footer text column of your templates. This will remove the text from the bottom of your invoice. Let me guide you how:
Once done, try to create an invoice again and verify if the text is still showing.
Additionally, here are some articles that you can read to help manage your invoices in QuickBooks Online:
I'm just a few clicks away if you need more help in completing your other tasks in the program. Have a great rest of the day, @accounts501.
This does not work. The text is not visable to delete. It is on the bottom of the page when you download or print. I can not find where this has been entered in order to remove it.
Thanks for getting back to us, @accounts501. We can perform some troubleshooting steps to get this back to normal.
There are times that the browser is full of frequent access web pages. When this gets outdated, it can cause an issue with your QuickBooks performance.
To verify this, let access your account via a private window (incognito). Then follow the steps, I've shared above on how to clear the text in the Add footer text column.
Once done, you can now create an invoice and download or print them to verify if the text will show. If it works, you’ll have to go back to your main browser and clear its cache. Clearing them fixes certain matters, like loading or formatting issues on sites, and helps increase the performance of your computer. You can also use a different browser if the issue persists.
Also, you can add a screenshot for me to visualize and further check on it for you. I appreciate any extra information you can give, and it will help us isolate the issue and provide the best solution.
For future reference, read through this article should you need to print multiple invoices in batches: Email or print multiple invoices and sales forms.
Give this a try, and let me know how it goes by leaving a comment below. I'm only a post away if you have any follow-up questions. Take care, @accounts501.
I have sent a screen shot of the templates page. I have also attached a copy of the invoice. This is shown at the bottom of the PDF. I need to remove it but I can not see where is is on the template. Its not in the footer box, there is no text in that box. We cannot have our UK information on the dcuments for the US.

Hi there, accounts501.
Thank you for coming back to the thread to add extra details about your concern. I also appreciate for following the steps shared above to fix the issue. With this, I'll be sharing additional details about the invoice template and route you to the right support team to further assist you in this matter.
QuickBooks Online gives you the tools to create attractive, professional-looking invoices to enhance the appearance and layout of sales forms. With this, the text from the bottom of your invoice is usually from Add footer text box. To verify and ensure that you're able to remove the text, I suggest making sure that you've checked the same invoice template when deleting the footer text from there. To do this, you'll have to go to the Custom form styles page and click each template to verify all information and make any changes if needed.
Here's how:
You can click this article to view further details on how customizing invoices works: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
If the issue continues to occur after following the details above, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment which we're unable to do it here in the Community. That way, they'll be able to investigate the cause of the problem.
You can browse this article to learn more about the different types of support we offer at Intuit and its availability: Support hours and types.
Lastly, please refer to this article to see how the Sales page gives you a status of sales transactions like open invoices, and paid invoices: View sales transactions.
Please let me know if you have any other concerns related to invoices or any other QuickBooks concerns. I'm here to help.
As I have already said. There is no text in the footer box. You have not read my message or looked at the attachments I sent.
I am going to try find someone else who can help.
This method is not working.
Hi accounts501, you'd need to set the default VAT settings to 'No VAT' to remove this - to do this, click the Cog > Account & settings > Advanced > Accounting > Default tax rate selection.
Thanks!
I have the same issue. I have a page number that I want to remove from my invoice. But it is not visible in the footer.
Thanks for checking in with us, mleblanc.
In QuickBooks Online, the option to remove a page number from an invoice is not available. We consider customer feedback as an opportunity to improve the various features of our products. I'd recommend sending feedback to our engineers directly. They may investigate this suggestion and consider including it in future updates. Let me show you how:
I've attached screenshots below for your reference:
On top of that, you can visit his page to keep updated with the latest software improvements and enhancements with QBO: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.
Also, to further guide you in managing your account and the growth of your business using QBO, I'd recommend checking out one of our support websites: QuickBooks Help Articles. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses, to name a few.

Help! I am having the same problem, we no longer charge credit card fees but I can't remove the text from my custom invoice template - it does NOT show when I print preview, but it always prints on page two. I have re-created the entire document, re-mapped it & uploaded a new document and it STILL it shows up on the printed invoice.
I cannot find out where this text was entered so I can delete it, but it is not under the above solution, we have no Payments Instructions entered
**(unless my boss has it entered under her log-in and she needs to do it?)
Thank you for joining the thread, gennieosg.
I know that deleting the text on your customized invoice template is crucial as it may confuse your customers about the credit card charge fees you're no longer using. However, since you've done all the troubleshooting.
I recommend reaching out to our support team to understand why the text still appearing despite creating a new invoice template.
Here are the steps you need to contact our support:
For customizing your templates, you can check this article that I've attached:

If you still have questions about customizing templates, you can always rely on the thread or create a new post. Have a great day and take care.
My solution turned out to be hidden text in my original Word document that was only visible when I switched my view in Word from Print Layout to Web Layout. Once I did that, a text box appeared at the bottom of my original document that was being copied over every time I remade it. I appreciate the customer service reps who patiently troubleshooted with me until I found the problem.
OMG Thank you so much!
