I want to set up a user to access the inventory list only. Is this possible?

I can see how beneficial this is to you and for your business to give an appropriate user types and permissions to the user who access your QuickBooks Online company. This will help you protect sensitive company information as well.

However, adding a user that can only access the Inventory List is currently not possible.

Yes this would be really good option for QB. We are planing to switch to QB online and this would be most appreciated future. Example people in the warehouse doesn’t need to know how much we are paying for product and how much we are selling this product for. It would be nice if they will be able to keep track with all inventory items and make purchase orders for items that are getting low in stock. Those purchase orders may need supervisor approval.

I can see how this option would help your business. However, this isn't available in QuickBooks. 

What we can do is give your employees limited access to the account. Here's how:

1. From the Gear icon, select Manage Users.
2. Click Add user.
3. Select Standard user, and then Next.
4. In the Select access rights page, select Limited.
5. Select either Customers or Vendors.
6. Click Next.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to successfully add a user.

Consider having an inventory maangement app to integrate with your QBO. Your warehouse team doesn't need to have an access to QBO.

any suggestions on an inventory management app that can do this???  i have exactly the same requirement

We're not able to recommend an app for integration. But I can show you how to find an app for inventory management in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Apps menu.
2. Enter a keyword such as "Inventory Management."
3. Look for an app that suits your needs by checking their profile.
4. Select the Learn more button or Get app now.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
6. Confirm the integration.
