If my original credit card account number connected to quickbooks had to be changed (due to fraud) does the new account number automatically sync with quickbooks?

Hi there, @talbot004

Thank you for choosing QuickBooks as your accounting tools. Yes, as long as you disconnect the older account that connected from QuickBooks. The new account will automatically download and categorizes your bank and credit card transactions for you.

You can check out this handy article for more detailed information about connecting bank account: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online

However, if you encounter error you may contact our  Customer Support Team. As they have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment and answering any questions you may have.

Before doing so, please check out our support hours to ensure that we address your concerns on time.

I manually enter all charges and do not connect to our bank.  Does this make a difference?

You don't need to do anything, aces.

The steps provided above only apply to banks connected to QuickBooks Online. When there's a change on the account, it can affect the download process. This is why they'll need to update whatever information is changed.

In your case, since you're entering the transactions manually, it won't make a difference if there are changes made to your bank account.

I’m adding this article for more information on adding transactions: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Online.
