Thank you for posting here in Community @perzel.

There are a few reasons why your QuickBooks won't open:

  • Long company name.
  • Damaged or missing QBWUSER.INI file.
  • There's a corruption on your hard drive.
  • There's a damage of your program files or QuickBooks Desktop installation.
  • You may have a damaged Windows operating system.

To fix it, you need to download QuickBooks Tool Hub and run a Quick Fix Utility. Here's how:

  1. Make sure QuickBooks is close.
  2. Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  3. Open the file you download (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When it's done, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

When your QuickBooks Tool Hub is already open, you can run the Quick Fix to repair the program.

  1. In the Tool Hub, choose Program Problems.
  2. Select Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data.

You can also use the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Toolto resolve possible installation file damage. Here's how:

  1. In the Tool Hub, choose Installation Issues.
  2. Select QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool, this would take up 20 minutes.
  3. When it finishes, restart your computer.
  4. Open your QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

I'm also attaching these articles if you're still unable to open QuickBooks after the troubleshooting:

Don't hesitate to comment below if you have additional questions. I'd be glad to help you right away. Have a good day!
