Good to have you in the Community space, @jenifermasterson .
I've checked here on my end and found no related issues in entering expenses in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).
Rest assured I can share with a some tips on how to isolate this issue. I recommend logging out and logging back in to refresh your QBSE account.
If the issue persists, I suggest accessing your account in a private or incognito window to check if this is a browser cache issue. There are times that the browser is full of cache data which affects its performance.
Using a private window helps us verify the issue as this doesn't save any data files. To open a private window, you can refer to these keyboard shortcuts:
- Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
- Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browsers)
- Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)
If you’re able to seamlessly enter your expenses, I’d suggest clearing your regular browser's cache to optimize its performance. If the issue remains, I recommend using other supported browsers. This way, we can check if this is a browser-specific issue.
Once you're all set, you might want to check out this article that can help you efficiently prepare your taxes: QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide.
I'll be around if you have other questions entering expenses in QBSE. It's always my pleasure to help. Keep safe and have a great weekend!
