On the other hand, you can go to the Apps menu on the left panel. Then, search for a third-party application that can directly send invoices to your customers using text messages or SMS.

Yes, you're right. You'll need to be in the web interface to do this. You can sign in to your QBO company using a mobile browser if you’re always on the go and not using a computer often. This way, you'll be able to create an invoice payment link or just a payment link.
