Just So you know, the Quickbooks “cloud backup service” only holds your data for 45 days then it is gone. Every single time I get on with Quickbooks support they ruin something else. Now my business has zero tax records for the past 7 years and I only have payroll reports of May 2020 through July 2020. I’ve been working with geek squad since Quickbooks told me that it’s my problem and nothing is working. I’ve tried carbonite and all my files seem to be corrupted since I last asked for QB support and they had access to my computer files. I have an audit coming up and nothing to provide. Thank you for a pile of garbage 🗑 service. I’m googling lawyers for a class action lawsuit now. Nothing like a business disaster on top of a global pandemic. Someone should call me ASAP to resolve this situation
I understand how your files are important to your business, Shannonskillsforlife.
I'd agree that this must be fixed right away. Let me make it up to you by making sure we can sort this out.
When you say "QuickBooks support ruin something else", what specific scenario exactly happened during that time? Your additional details will help me escalate this by passing along your feedback about QuickBooks support to our management team. This way, they'll be able to discuss how to improve our customer support.
On the other hand, if you have a backup copy of all your data, we have tools to restore them. And, I recommend requesting a callback from our QuickBooks Desktop Support Team so they can perform the process for you. I know you've already contacted them. However, they can call you and discuss restoring your file.
Here's how to get in touch with them:
I'll keep this post while waiting for your response. Just tag my name, and I'll stay around until you're able to get your tax records.

Is your company file corrupted? Did you ask Intuit Data Service to fix it? Have you consider to ask a 3rd party file repair service for help?
It’s all ruined and yes I’m trying an extraction company to help me. Last resort is data entry and recreation of 7 years lost data. They really edited my post nicely. Deleted half of it. They ruined my business and I have missed opportunities for grants available for covid because I don’t have documentation to submit in applications. I don’t know how I’m going to ask for ppp forgiveness. I don’t know how I’m going to get my year end w3 and w2s. They really screwed me. Beware of allowing the support team having access to your computer when they “help” you.
Call me ASAP. Your support techs did this. The last time you had restored my file onto a new computer, you overrode all my old file so they are corrupted now. You need to fix this or you will be facing the cost of the expense of outside professionals to resolve this disaster. Call me today

To clarify, are you receiving any errors or messages when trying to open your company file? For most general issues, I recommend running a quick repair using the instructions below:
From there, let's run the Quick Fix my Program tool from the Tool Hub.
Doing so will force the app to end QuickBooks processes running in the background. If the issue persists, you can follow the additional steps outlined in this article: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.
