I am trying to customize some quickbooks desktop reports, but the fields i want to add are not an option under "customize report"
For example on the sales "open sales order report by item" i would like to add the following fields from the item record:
manufacturer's part #
description on purchase transactions
I'm running primer plus manufacturing and wholesale edition 2020 realse r8p
I need some kind of 3rd party query tool like QQube - but i was hoping to find something less than $500 / year - i really only need to modify one report
any leads would be appreciated

I have some ideas to make sure you're able to pull up the report you need.
Yes, you're right. Some fields or filters aren't available on the Open Sales Order by Item report. QuickBooks will only show the item name and description even on the inventory-related reports.
As a workaround, you can export the said report to Excel. This way, you can manually add the info like the manufacture's part number and description on purchase transactions.
If you want to personalize your report, you can customize it. Also, you can memorize it to save a copy. This way, you can access it anytime for future use.
