A customer paid me for an invoice thru my account. I still am waiting to see the money in my checking account. How long do I have to wait?

Hi, Julie. I can share information about when QuickBooks deposits customer payments into your checking account.

First, make sure that the deposit account selected is the same received payments get deposited. You can proceed to the Account and Settings to verify this information.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon (⚙) and select Account and Settings.
2. Proceed to the Payments tab.
3. In the Chart of Accounts section, choose your accounts and Save.

Then, check out your deposit speed from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to know when your payments will be deposited into your checking account.

If it's your first time receiving payments from your customer, it'll normally take 5 business days to deposit the funds into your account. It may take some time because we're still setting up your merchant account. Once the setup is successful, the deposit speed will be faster. It would take 1-2 business days for credit cards and 2-7 days for ACH payments.  Occasionally, there may be delays in deposits. If you have already verified the payment status and we have deposited the funds, your money is currently being processed. Please note that some banks may hold onto the deposited funds. To ensure a smooth transaction, kindly contact your bank to confirm if any further action is required.
