Join nowI just tried customizing the dates within Fiscal Year to Date and it still does not show the whole fiscal year budget. Is Quickbooks working to fix this?
This works!!!!! I even entered to include $ Remaining and it showed all three columns Jan-Feb and total Budget for 2023 and $Remaining from Total Budget. When you save the Customization, you have to just go back in, Choose Customize again, make sure all the report settings are set for the entire year and hit run report. It updates it to include the entire year. Oh my gosh. Thank you so much!! I've been dealing with exporting data for years. You're A-MA-ZING!!!
This is working for me. Thank you so much!
Will you explain how you set this up? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to add the column for $ remaining from the Annual Budget.
Yes, it's working as designed. But this is not the design we need or want. We need to compare YTD actual against the entire year's budget.
This worked for me too in QBO until 2024. Now it has stopped working. It would be nice to get this feature back.
Thank you for participating in this thread, Bobbie. I'd be glad to show you how to customize your report for Budget vs. Actual.
If you're trying to run a Budget vs. Actual report that includes the remaining allocated dollars, you can follow these steps:
You can improve the accuracy of your financial reports by adjusting the dates. Refer to this article for guidance: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online
Also, here’s an article that provides an overview of how to transfer your reports, lists, and non-posting transactions: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online
Don't hesitate to post it here in the Community if you have further concerns with customizing your reports. I'm always here to lend a hand.
I got it to work by entering my yearly budget into the first month of my fiscal year. I only pull the report in the this fiscal year to last month so it works fine using it like this for me.
