Can a Budget to Actual Report be created by Class that includes Annual Budget, Budget YTD and Actual YTD?

Yes, a Budget to Actual Report can be created by Class that includes Annual Budget, Budget YTD, and Actual YTD. To do this, you'll need to turn on the Class feature first in the Account and settings.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Choose Account and Settings under Your Company.
3. From the Advanced tab, go to the Categories section. Then, turn on Track classes.
4. Click Save. Then, Done.

Once done, you can now create or add a new class in QuickBooks Online. You may open this artilcle to see the steps on how to perform the process and to see further details: Create and manage classes in QuickBooks Online.

After that, you can then start creating a budget by Class and make sure to choose the right date range. Please follow the steps below.

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Budgeting under Tools.
3. Click Add budget at the upper-right corner.
4. Enter budget name. Then, select the specific fiscal year and choose Yearly in the Interval drop-down list.
5. Select the exact data in the Pre-fill data box.
6. Choose Class in the Subdivide by drop-down list.
7. Select the specific class in the Add subdivided budget for field.
8. Click the Next button.
9. Fill in the necessary field in the Budget section.
10. Press the Save button.

After that, click the drop-down arrow under the Action column and choose Run Budgets vs Actuals report. Then, customize the report if needed to ensure you'll be able to see the data that you need.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so promptly.  I already have Classes set up, my monthly budget is in the system, and I am familiar with the Standard Budget to Actual Report. The problem I am having is, if I do the report in the middle of the fiscal year, how can I also see the annual budget for that Class in the same report.

Can I go back and subdivide a budget by class AFTER I have made the budget.  Don't see that option except when you initial make a new budget.

Currently, the option to add subdivide by class after creating a budget is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. You'll have to create a new budget grid and add the class from there.
