Warm welcome, rodney. I'm here to ensure that you can make a copy of your estimate in QuickBooks Online.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can make a copy or duplicate of your estimate. The "Copy" is no longer an option as it was changed to "Duplicate." Both have the same functionality, so you don't need to worry about differences.
Let me guide you on how to duplicate your estimate. Here's how:
I've included a screenshot for reference.
Additionally, you can convert your estimate to invoice to save you time from entering the same info twice. QuickBooks will automatically fill in the information and link them both.
Just tap the reply button below if you need further information and assistance making a copy or duplicate estimate. I'm always here to lend a hand. Best wishes!
There is no option to duplicate....
Why did they remove it from estimates anyway? now you have to go search around, record the estimate number go into sales/estimates, etc.. it is way more cumbersome and doesn't even work.. before the "upgrade" it was simple and accessible...
I'd also feel the same way when a feature is gone missing in QuickBooks Online, @rodney_riddle.
Currently, we have a new way to make a copy of the estimate in the updated program. You can refer to the steps below for guidance:
I understand having this feature can be beneficial and time-saving when making estimates. Please know that we make great efforts to deliver customer satisfaction at all times. However, as we continue to roll out product updates, there may be changes to some features. Thus, you can send this suggestion to our Product Developers to bring back the Duplicate option.
I'll show you how:
They can review it and perhaps add it to future product updates. You can visit our Feedback forum page to see a list of other QuickBooks users who have already suggested this feature and the recent updates.
Also, you can read through this helpful article to personalize and add specific information to your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

I understand how important it is for you to get a copy of the estimates, Rodney. Rest assured, I'll provide you with some information on how to obtain a copy.
Once you already created estimates, you can make a copy of it through the Sales menu. You can refer to the steps below for guidance:
Since you don't have this option, let's try to log out and log in as an Admin user.
If the same thing happens, you can do some basic troubleshooting. To begin, please open an incognito window. This will prevent your browsing history from being saved. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts based on the type of browser you are using:
If the private browsing session works, you can clear the browser's cache to improve the program's performance. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers as an alternative which will provide the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.
I'll add this article in case you want to learn how to upload your receipts to QuickBooks Online: Upload your receipts to QuickBooks Online.
please leave a comment below if you have further concerns related to estimates. I'll be glad to assist you anytime.
The new Quickbooks Online Estimate template is missing the Copy or Duplicate options!
How could QB take this away? Who is working on your program? They obviously aren't users.
I tried different browsers, incognito, clearing cache and more and the option just isn't there!
The Save drop down only has Save and new or Save and close as options.
The Convert to Invoice drop down only has Review and send, Print and download or Share link.
Please escalate and fix this issue! And, stop making QBO more difficult to use for end users!

There use to be a Copy/Duplicate in the dark gray bar at the bottom of every estimate. Now that is no longer there. The instructions above are extremely cumbersome and time consuming. We duplicate estimates ALL THE TIME and for me to have to go to Sales > Find the Estimate > Hit Duplicate qudruples my times. Please put it back on the bar at the bottom of the estimate!
Thank you for joining the conversation, CDStudios.
I understand that having access to the Copy/Duplicate button under your estimate forms is essential for your business and others. While this option is visible under Sales by making a copy of each estimate form manually, I acknowledge that this can be inconvenient and time-consuming for your business.
