One possible reason why it's sending twice is because of the setup. Let's check it and see if there are two of the same invoice reminder set up are turned on. Please follow these steps:

Hello,
There is only one reminder set. The others are turned off. When I check status it appears one was sent around 9 AM and the other around 10 PM. This just started within the last week or so.

I'd be glad to share a little more information on how we can resolve this invoice reminder in QuickBooks Online.
Another reason for a duplicate is due to recurring transactions. The date period you’ve selected might be the same when you created them. If you have this template, you can open a Recurring Template List report to check the event details. Let me show you how:
Otherwise, you’ll want to contact our Technical Support team to investigate this further. They can figure out the cause of the issue and able to provide additional fixes. Please know that our supports are mostly available during weekdays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. They can also cater to customers on weekends only Saturday starting from 6:00 AM until 3:00 PM only.

We are seeing the same issue too. WE DID NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS. This is clearly a quickbooks backend issue they need to sort out. I've been using it for a while with no issues and it started for us the same time as these other reports. Please fix ASAP! This is upsetting it's spamming our customers twice.
Yes. reminders could be stacking.
I have 3 reminders setup. Last night, 3 total (2 duplicates) went out for the same invoice when it was time for the third reminder to go out.
Why 3? Why not 600?
3 could be explained by one for each prior reminder and the intended one for the invoice.
