Hello, Is there anyway to add a delivery address to the estimates?

Also, is there anyway to get tax based on the city and state a job is taking place in?

Hello, Is there anyway to add a delivery address to the estimates?

Yes, there is, aponte-premierin.

In QuickBooks Online, you can manually add the delivery address of your customer to their profile. Once done, the address will automatically populate in the estimate. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu at the left pane to get to the Customers page.
  2. Click the customer's name to open their details, then click the Edit option at the top right.
  3. Under the Shipping address section, enter the customer's shipping address.
  4. Hit Save

To get a tax based on a location, you'll have to ensure to turn on the Sales Tax option. Once you add your details, you can now start adding tax. In case you haven't turned it on yet, please see the steps below.

  1. Go to the Taxes menu.
  2. On the Sales Tax tab, click use Automatic Sales Tax.
  3. Enter your business address.
  4. Click Next, then add the other necessary details.

Once done setting up, you can now create an estimate and get a tax based on location.

Hello, Is there anyway to add a delivery address to the estimates?

Thanks for getting back to me.  What if I have a client that has several different delivery locations?  The equipment is not being shipped, but it's being delivered by a local partner.  Is there a what to include a delivery location and not a shipping location, since it's being delivered?

Also, with regards to tax, we would be charging tax on delivery and equipment rental.  My clients are renting equipment, not buying it.

Thank you,

Hello, Is there anyway to add a delivery address to the estimates?

Thank you for getting back here, @aponte-premierin.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) helps you to ensure that you always add the necessary details to your sale forms. In adding delivery locations for your customers, you can follow the steps provided by my colleague, CharleneMae_F. This will only let you add one billing and shipping address for each of your customer's profiles.

To accommodate the several delivery locations your customer has, you can manually edit the Shipping to section when creating Estimates

Also, personalizing your sales form to reflect more of your business identity is easy with QBO. For a detailed guide, see this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Reach us again anytime you need assistance with setting up delivery addresses for your customers in QBO. I'm always here to lend you a hand. More power to your business.
