Well the answer from QBO support doesn't contain everything you need to do to get a journal entry report. Yes, you run the Journal Report as explained. Then, you should click the customize button in the upper right, select Filter, check the box beside Transaction Type, select Journal Entry (see attached screen shot), select the date range you need and click the Run Report button in the bottom right.
I would save the report and share it with anyone that would benefit from it. Hope this helps!
I've opened reports but I don't see a Go To area
Congratulations on making your first post here in the Community, @lbettyjo. It only takes a few easy steps to pull up a Journal report in QuickBooks Online.
The Go to reports mentioned above was from the previous years’ interface. That’s why you’re unable to find it. Don’t worry, I’ve got updated instructions for you.
The Journal report can be generated and modified so that you can examine a summary or thorough list of Journal entries based on the parameters you chose. This report also includes a column listing the memos and descriptions you made to the journal entry.
Here’s how:
For more information about personalizing and filtering the report according to your needs, see this article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.
I’ve included these references in case you’d like to save the report setting and print it for future use:
It'll be my pleasure to help you more with your journal entries. If you need further assistance pulling up other reports, let me know. Take care.
I have a Balance Sheet and P&L for PY and I need to make an adjusting journal entry under Reports to offset the expense. Please be as detailed as you can.
This message has suddenly appeared " We're sorry, we can't find the page you requested". You may have incorrectly typed the address (URL) or clicked on outdated link. So far I can't view the Journal report. Anyone have any advice ? I would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
I want to ensure this is taken care of, @Chonlada Chanwana.
Let's perform some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. The accumulated cache in your browser may cause errors when opening the reports in QuickBooks. We can start accessing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in a private or incognito window.
Please refer to the shortcut keys listed below:
If you can open the journal report without an error, go to your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies to start over. If you're still getting the same result, switch to other supported browsers.
However, if the issue persists, I'd suggest reaching our Customer Support Team. This way, they can pull up your account securely and help resolve the problem.
Here's how:

When working on clients books at yearend, we sometimes have to make entries that span over several years to get things to tie back out to the tax return that was filed.
In QB desktop I could run the AJE report and modify it by entered/last modifed date and enter just the dates that I worked on it. This would pull up only the entries that made and not any that the client might have made before they sent us a backup.
In QBO how to do I get this report to show only the entries that I made? Is there some way to sort by login?
Thanks for joining the thread, @tonayshull.
The option to run report that would show the entries you've made is unavailable in QuickBooks Online.
As a workaround, you can run Audit log and filter it by your user name to show the activity you've made inside QuickBooks. This includes that transactions you've created inside the program. Let me show you how:
Please note that this will you 150 at a time. For most transactions or events, select View in the History column to open the audit history. For additional reference, check this article: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.
In case you need to review edited transactions or re-enter deleted ones in the future, you can utilize this resource as a guide:
If you have more questions about showing the entries you've made inside QuickBooks, just post them again the thread. We'll be happy to help you.
