Welcome to the Community. I can share some information about your font size concern in QuickBooks.
When printing checks, the font size in the product is set to default. However, you have the option to increase the scale from the print settings to make it more visible.
Here's how:
Once done, you can proceed with fixing the alignment. You can make adjustments by visiting the Print setup section. For the detailed steps, please visit this link: Align how your checks print.
For your invoices, you can also adjust the scale from the print settings. This way, you can increase the size when printing sales forms.
Please follow these steps:

Is there a way to do this that doesn't mess with the printer scale?
Thanks for joining in this thread, @pato.
As of now, you can only change the font size of the invoices and checks by adjusting the printer scale.
I can see how this option would be helpful for you and your business. Therefore, let me take note of this as a suggestion to improve your QuickBooks experience.
In case you want to adjust your sales and expense transactions font size, simply follow the steps provided in the conversation above.

thanks for the info and please do take note. some bank fraud filters require that checks be printed with a specific font at a minimum size so it would be very useful to be able to adjust this as needed. The extra steps of rescaling and readjusting the formatting of the checks every time checks are printed from a different printer can only be a temporary solution.
My checks are printing in font that is too small and even adjusting the alignment doesn't make them print properly. I followed steps 1-8 below, but when I hit "print" in step 9 it prints the list of checks (the page shown in your image below). It doesn't actually change the font size for the check itself.
I appreciate you following the workaround provided by my colleague above to adjust the font size on your checks in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @bellcom.
Since it didn’t work on your end, I also suggest you utilize a third-party application. You can check our QuickBooks App Store for supported apps that you can use. If you have already had an application in mind, you can directly reach out to its support team for the integration process.
