How do I import a CSV file into a specific invoice template? I created an invoice template to use for a specific product & need to import the data to that exact template

Hey there, mchatwell. Creating a new template for your invoices is best in this case. We don't currently have a way to import csv files into a template. This way you can change where your company information and layout. This article shows how to customize each part of the form, and it includes a great video tutorial. You can change the template for an existing invoice by clicking the Customize button, which is in the gray menu bar at the bottom of the page. I'd already created the template. What I need to do now is import the billing data for each invoice into that exact template which is where I'm hung up. When I import, I find that I keep having to rebuild the import and am not given the option to import the CSV file data directly into a specific template which I already built. The main reason for this is A) a new product which will have it's own billing parameters/price points and B) I need to set payment options for this product that are different from our companies usual payment options (i.e., allow for cc and bank transfers).

I sent in a request as you stated in this response.  This is an issue that needs careful consideration.  The solutions we choose to use should not limit our ability to present ourselves professionally, or add additional staff hours to work around product limitations.

Importing invoice data is already validated by the import process.  Not allowing the users to present their own custom invoices to our customers on imported data seems very short sighted.  I now have to have a staff person, use the very same data I would have imported, copy/paste that exact data into an invoice just to use my own template.    Painful and costly.  

Please resolve this ASAP.
