Congrats on making your first post here in the Community. I hope your week is going well so far. I can give you some insight into sending statements to individual donors for tax returns.
There are a few reports that could work for you and your business. Allow me to point you in the right direction.
You can also try customizing the report to help. After you get the report you want, it's time to export or email it to your donors. Once you're on the report, all you need to do is hit the email or export icon. Here's a visual below:

Thanks for following up on this thread. I'd be glad to provide some additional info regarding donor statements in your QuickBooks Desktop account.
You can view, print, and distribute donor statements by creating customized reports. Here's how to get this done:
1. Run the report you'd like. Many people use the Sales (or Donations) by Customer Summary.
2. Choose Customize Report in the report window.
3. You can then select to filter the statement for each of your donors and choose the date range to show donations for the year.
I recommend checking out the following linked article for additional info about customizing reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
With this info, you'll be able to view and print statements for each of your donors stating their yearly amounts. Please don't hesitate to reach back out if you have any other questions. I'll be here to help.
QuickBooks won't create proper donor statements. Instead, use our BRC Donor Statements - QB Online , which will.
