How to set the number of rows to larger than 50 in the Customer display (Online QB: Sales/Customers)?

Hello there, @allan12.

I'd be glad to help you change the row settings to show the number of customers on the page.

You can click on the Gear icon or Settings on the Customer's page. I'll show you how to do that.

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select the Customers tab.
  2. Select the Gear icon on the page and go to the last option Rows.
  3. Click on the drop-down icon and choose how many rows you want to show on your page.

I've also added a screenshot for your additional reference.

I've included a reference for your future task when in case you want to track specific aspects of your business: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please tag my name in the comment section below if you have other questions about QuickBooks. I'd be happy to assist you further. Take care.

Thank you for your response.  I understand your directions, and I do that each time I log into QB, which I would prefer not to. I would like if it could retain my preferred setting i.e. 150 rows. I believe it used to do so, but after a recent upgrade this feature doesn't seem to work any more. Do you have any advice with regards to get this setting back permanently so I don't have to change it each time?

Thanks for getting back here, allan12.

I've tried this in my test company, and the number of Rows selected from the drop-down was retained after signing out/in of the account. What I can recommend is doing the basic troubleshooting steps.

To start, let's open your QuickBooks Online account in an incognito or private browser. This mode prevents your browsing history from being stored. You can use the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

Go to the Customers page and elect the number from the Rows drop-down. Then, try signing out and log back in. If the number of rows is retained, you'll want to go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache fixes certain problems, like loading or formatting issues on sites.

Please make sure to restart your browser afterwards. On the other hand, use a different supported browser to check if you're getting the same issue.

I'm just a few clicks away if you have any follow-up questions or other concerns with QuickBooks. Just leave a reply and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Take care and stay safe.

Thank you for your response. I tried both Safari and Chrome and both did not work. I am on a Mac, and it used to work till a couple of weeks ago.

Hello there, allan12.

I do appreciate your time in performing the browser troubleshooting steps provided by my colleagues. After your select the preferred number of rows to display, it'll already be saved the next time you access your account.

I'd recommend reaching out to our Phone Support Team so they can look into your account and investigate the issue further. You can follow these steps on how to contact us:

  1. Go to the Help ( ? ) menu and enter talk to a human twice.
  2. Click I still need a human and select Contact us.
  3. Select a way you'll want to connect with us.

You can also use this link for more details about our support hours and types.

Feel free to post your questions here if you need anything else. Take care!

The same thing happened to me.  It was at 150 and one day a few months back it defaulted itself to 50.

I'm trying the solution given to you.
