I am having the same issue with clients not being able to read the invoices we send. Your answer seems ridiculous...We need to have clients update their PDF reader?! Shouldn't these invoices be universally readable?

Let me make it to you by providing steps to ensure your clients are able to view the sent invoices. The stored cache can affect the performance of QuickBooks which can cause unexpected behavior.
To start, I'd suggest opening an account via a private window. This will open QuickBooks in a clean slate and loads fresh data.

Once done, open the invoice. f it works, I'd recommend going back to the regular browser and clear the cache. Alternatively, you can use other compatible browsers.
