Hello there, @finance71.

In the Profit and loss tile, you’ll want to select the date located on the right top of the box. From there, you can change the date range.

Let me share this article in case you want to run a report using the Online app: Run a Profit & Loss report using the QuickBooks Online app (iOS only).

I’m just right here if you have any other concerns.

I had already looked at that article, but I’m not seeing that option on mine.

Here’s a screenshot

I had looked at that article, but it doesn’t line up with my experience. There isn’t anything in the upper right hand corner at all (see the attached screenshot). It does seem like some of the text is roughly cutting off; is there something off with my screen?

Thank you for the screenshot added, @finance71.

You have to select a date range before clicking the Profit and Loss report itself or to the page where you're currently in. I've added a couple of screenshots below as your visual reference.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm always here to help.

Thank you for the screenshots. Unfortunately, this still doesn't function correctly.

These are my steps:

  1. Go to Home
  2. On the Profit and Loss tile, select date range in the upper right, changing it to "Last Year"
  3. Values update on the tile.
  4. I select "View Profit & Loss" to view detail
  5. Takes me to Profit and Loss report, but detail appears to only be for current month with no way to change date range.

If I navigate to "Reports" and the Profit and Loss report there, it is the same.

This seems to be basic functionality of a P&L statement; I'm very surprised at the lack of QA on this.

Hi again, @finance71.

You can try pulling up a Profit & Loss report through a web browser then compare the details with the app.

If the details don’t match, I suggest clearing your app’s cache. This is a great way to free up space from your device and can fix website cache issues.

If the issue persists, uninstall the app then reinstall. Once done, run a report again.

Come back to this thread if you have an additional concern. You’ve got me here.
