I've been getting the same emails since 4pm PST. Every few minutes! I tried contacting support but of course they're conveniently only open Monday through Friday. I sent an email to the security team with QuickBooks and haven't received a response back.
I changed my password just in case but I too looked through my information and nothing seems to be altered.
Other people have asked the same question that you did and they're getting the same automatic reply from QuickBooks. I have not received any resolution to this and I'm worried that if somehow my account is compromised then my clients are at risk. QuickBooks just had a problem not too long ago with hackers getting into people's accounts and getting clients information, then the hacker created their own account and invoiced those clients out pretending to be the company who is hacked.
I was shocked at how many people are having the same issues and the fact that QuickBooks or their IT team has not addressed it yet is beyond ridiculous and making me second guess using their services any longer.
I can see how significant your credentials are, russell30 and GVersatile. Allow me to provide the necessary information and route you to the appropriate support.
First, we need to check if the email is valid from Intuit. This way, we'll be able to verify that the emails you've received come from Intuit.
After verifying, you'll want to go to this article for your reference so we can report these emails: Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud if it isn't from Intuit.
Once done, I'd also suggest contacting our Customer Support team, so they'll be able to investigate and address this concern.
Here's how:
Please know that for Plus, Essentials, and Simple Start subscribers, support will be available M-F from 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday from 6 AM to 3 PM PT. For Advanced subscribers, you may contact support any time and any day.
Additionally, I've added this article on how to conveniently deposit payments into your bank account in minutes: Get instant deposits in QuickBooks Online.
Please don't hesitate to reply to this thread should you need additional assistance if you receive an email in your account. I'll keep an eye out for it. Stay safe.
Listen, your AI generated responses are nothing but repetitive and annoying. I've commented on other posts that are having the same issue and you guys keep sending the same responses.
We already went through the email credentials and they're coming from a legit email from QuickBooks. Fix your crap, tighten your security since you have security breaches constantly, and for the love of God- 24/7 customer service with a live person should be offered to all users regardless of their subscription rate. Stop sending your paying customers these automatic replies and have your IT give us all an update on what the is going on.
Yes me too!
Same here. I pay too much for this BS. So annoying blowing up my email with this. Then the AI responses…
I am forwarding all my emails to "[email address removed]" I must have gotten 75 and they are still coming every 2 minutes.
The email is "spoof". At "intuit" dot "com"
I dont see any additional logins when I look up my activity so Im assuming it is quickbooks. i cant count how many emails its been at this point. You would think with what we pay for service, they could have someone on call in IT to fix this issue, assuming it is happening to more than just me based off a google search.
I am sending them to "spoof". At "intuit" dot "com"
I there is a spoof email address at the bottom of the notifications. I am forwarding everyone there
I've got them too. They started last night and have kept coming in. I have about 100 now. Not sure what to do. It is so hard to find a real person to talk to.
Same here. Just deleted my banking info and cancelled my account. Shame on intuit for not addressing this!!
Since last night I have gotten over 400 emails and counting... I received two just while I was replying to this. So incredibly frustrating.
I am over 100 emails at this point.
Wondering if there is any further insight.
Thanks
Well it seems like a glitch and not everyones account info is compromised. Shame on Intuit for not having someone 24/7/365 for calls relating to Fraud - shame shame shame. You would think for the millions in processing fees they receive they would do this. Definitely moving away from Quickbooks payments due to this. I am sure we will all get an email on Monday - saying oops sorry! If we are lucky we may get 50 cents or even a dollar for the trouble! haha
Hello, everyone.
I understand the importance of ensuring the protection of your valuable data.
There are many reasons in today's environment to be cautious of email that seem in any way suspicious. Some email messages might be phishing scams, viruses, and other malicious software. Intuit uses different email addresses to communicate with its customers.
Since you've received a lot of emails, we have a designated website where you can report phishing emails and other security concerns. You can directly submit the information to our security team through that platform.
Here's how:
On the other hand, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Support team. They have the necessary tools and can offer you live support to help determine the cause of this issue. The support hours if you're using Plus, Essentials, Simple Start M-F 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM PT. For Advanced, any time, any day you can contact our support.
For a complete guide on how to recognize suspicious emails and know legit email addresses from Intuit, you can visit this article:
Should you require further assistance or have additional questions about Intuit's service email addresses, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We're always here to help. Have a great day.
We can't call support because it is the weekend! Even for fraud issues!
Sending emails to “[email address removed]” results in the emails being bounced back to me as undeliverable…
I’d love to reach out for further help but I can’t because your support system is closed on weekends……
Ridiculous.
Same. My email came back as "address not found."
I've received over 200 of these emails since last night!
The spam email inbox provided by Intuit is bouncing back as undeliverable. I am still getting emails every 2-3 minutes.
When is a fix to this anticipated?
I'm seeing the same issue this morning. It started at 4:30am ET and it's still going even after changing the QBO Payment Account p/w change at 9:25am ET.
The emails reference the last 4 digits of my account so there is some awareness of at least my email and account number. No activity seen in our checking account.
Since Intuit support is unavailable to help on the w/e, what does the community suggest we do? Will changing the QBO pw help?
Thanks
Is there any action users should take now (Sunday morning)? I don't see any usual activity in QBO or bank accounts other than email notifications coming in every 5-15 minutes.
I was having this same issue but it has seemed to stop- anyone else’s stop?
Hi there, everyone.
I understand the importance of getting your concern about receiving multiple emails in QuickBooks Online (QBO). This way, we can prevent our users from getting notified or spammed with emails that aren’t necessary. I also understand that this can be alarming for everyone with the current experience of possible security breaches, which we make sure is not.
For now, we cannot provide a turn-around time for when this will be fixed. Since the Community is a public forum, we moderators advise users coming to the forum to contact our Customer Care Team during their support hours to have this investigated and determine the leading cause. I know that support isn’t available during weekends, however, they are the ones who can initiate a further investigation while maintaining your privacy.
Please refer to the steps below to contact our support:
Additionally, refer to this article for other options when contacting them. You can also scroll down to the bottom to see their phone number, support schedule, and hours to contact them at the time of your convenience: QuickBooks Online Support.
I’ll keep this thread open for your queries concerning QuickBooks-related matters. The Community always has your back. Stay safe!
