Absolutely useless. Turn off the AI on this one and think. This forum is flooded with people getting official emails from intuit and clearly someone needs to know in order to investigate and fix. Stop giving us generic advice related to individuals who are receiving suspicious emails. Clearly something is wrong internally at intuit

The same thing has happened to my client so I did reach out to Intuit support this morning at 7:00 am EST and the support person said there was nothing that could be done until Merchant Service department opens on Monday morning at 7:00 am pacific time - meanwhile the client is very concerned that their account has been hacked.  I have had them change their password and review their activity to see if anyone has accessed their account over the past 24 hours.  It is very disconcerting that such a large company does not have personnel available 24/7 for such emergencies for all their customers.

I did exactly what you are describing I called Intuit support this morning at 7:00 Am and talked with a human and I was told that since it is with my clients Merchants service account we would have to contact Merchant services but they are not open until  MONDAY at 7:00 AM PST whereas my client and I are on EST so we have to wait until 10:00 am EST to be able to final talk with a person about this.  I had my client change his password and review all his activity but he does not see anything out of the ordinary nor did he recently update anything in his accounts.  Based on the security and privacy section in the intuit account we are to send all emails to security (at) intuit.com I have sent an email with the concerns and the clients screen shot of the hundreds of emails they have received - it is beyond fathomable that there is not a 24/7 support for such emergencies.  My client has QBO Advanced and we do not receive any other support than what everyone has listed here.

Yes Russel same thing happened to my client starting at 4:00 am this morning they had over 100 emails they were freaking out I too tried to call support - see my response below that I sent to the Intuit response - unbelievable  that they do not have 24/7 support for Merchant services accounts - if you find out anything more please keep us up to date. I hope intuit has a large squad of people working tomorrow because they will be receiving a lot of calls

None of that is helpful. Stupid generic responses that don’t actually address the issues users are describing.

Intuit-

Please stop sending me badges.

Instead, we are all asking for specifics about what caused this issue, the scope of the issue, and how you (not us) are going to fix it.

Don't refer us to additional links. Many of these links are broken or not working or are endless circular loops--and, it is a waste of our time. It makes Intuit look sloppy.

It's time to step up and delight us with your customer support.

SO DO THE FAKE EMAILS!!!  You should SERIOUSLY learn what you can about Phishing.  It is a REAL thing!!!  The scammers take a legitimate email address or phone number and use it themselves.

LOOK IT UP!!! And stop telling people here in the community different.  (Or are you one of the scammers?)

Was able to talk to someone today at QB Payments - the support person confirmed that there is a glitch that occurred within their systems and that these emails are or were being sent by Intuit.com I had them check my clients accounts and no updates were made to their accounts.  The support person explained how to shut off the notifications until the issue is fixed in the intuit system.  So they are aware of the issue and are working on it.  Just wanted to let everyone the update.  Hopefully that helps a little bit.

I have personally spoken with 3 different people on the QBO Accountants help-line.  None had knowledge of this happening and basically to ignore.
