I have a contractor who does not want to set up a Quickbooks account to fill out their W-9. How can I upload a copy of a W-9 for a contractor who filled out a paper copy?

Hi Catie,

I'm a little confused about your post but I think I can help. If this is a contractor that your client hired then I would just copy the information over from the paper W-9. If your client is a contractor that does not use Quickbooks for their record-keeping then why are you trying to upload the information?

Hi @catie-winrod,

Welcome to the Community!

Let me walk you through on how to add attachments in QuickBooks Online. Here's how:

  1. From the left menu, select Expenses, then Vendors.
  2. Choose the desired vendor, then Vendor Details.
  3. At the bottom left of the page, select Attachments.
  4. Browse and select the file you want to attach, then select Open.

Once you've attached the file, you'll need to manually update the vendor profile information

Let me know if you have other concerns. I'd be glad to help.
