I have purchased items for my business from Amazon using my personal Amazon Prime Store card. How can I upload these individual purchases into QB for tracking?

I have attempted to link my Amazon card to my QB, but since I use it for tons of personal purchases, I would rather just upload individual receipts instead of excluding the 5923 other items I have bought :)

I know ways to upload your bank transactions, jendoneylpc-gmai.

We can manually add the transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed using the CSV file. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear () icon and then select Imports.
  2. Choose Import transactions.
  3. Click the link on the You can also import Amazon transactions from your Amazon’s Order History Reports page section.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions provided.

  5. Once done, click on Save.

Aside from a CSV file, you can also upload the transactions using a receipt image. For the detailed steps, I'd suggest checking out this article: Record Expenses in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once done uploading, I'd recommend reviewing and categorizing your transactions to put them in the correct accounts.

I have tried multiple times to get this to upload and it's not working.

I do not have receipts as they are online purchases.

Hence my post about trying to link my Amazon credit card.

Thanks!

None of the above offered suggestions are working.  I have my reports ready to upload but there is no option to preview, let alone save.  Is there a way to manually input these transactions into QB?

Hello, jendoneylpc-gmai.

Yes, you can enter those transactions manually. I appreciate you taking the time to try the above-mentioned steps. Since it doesn't work, you can manually enter individual transactions. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the Transaction menu, and select Add Transaction.
  2. Enter the amount and a description.
  3. Click the Select a category menu, then choose the best category to organize your transaction. Learn more about categories.
  4. If you have a receipt, you can drag and drop it onto the form.
  5. Once done, hit Save.
  6. Repeat the process until everything has been added.

For your reference, you can visit this article for more details: Manually add transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have an image of your receipt in the future, you can upload it to create a new expense transaction coming from the receipt. Check out this resource to learn more about the receipt feature: Forward receipt images to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You can post again if you need further assistance in managing your transactions. We're always available to help you.

I'm running into the same issue.  There's no way to preview and once uploaded, the transactions don't show up anywhere.  How do I know if they went through?

Hello there, @Almise.

In QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), we can manually upload the transactions.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transaction menu.
  2. Select Add Transaction.
  3. Enter the amount and a description.
  4. Click the Select a category menu, then choose the best category to organize your transaction.
  5. If you have a receipt, you can drag and drop it onto the form.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Repeat the process until everything has been added.

For more information, visit this article: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comment section below. Have a nice day.

This longer works at all. Amazon .csv imports do not load into the account and the 'Labs' account connection fails everytime. Is there any other alternative rather than importing transactions manually? This is a joke.

Thank you for joining this thread, randomuserm. Let's make sure you can import Amazon order information to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

May I know what error message you receive when attempting to import CSV file for Amazon orders? I'd appreciate it if you can provide a screenshot of the error. This will allow me to provide relevant information and specific troubleshooting steps to fix it.

In the meantime, we just need to make sure your Amazon is integrated with QuickBooks Self-Employed to be able to import order details. You can use this link as a reference: Amazon integration with QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Also, you must connect the account you use to purchase items on Amazon for Amazon order details to appear in QuickBooks Self-Employed. If the account isn't connected, the transaction’s details will not appear because they won’t match to a transaction.

Otherwise, if the account is connected and your Amazon is already integrated with QuickBooks but order details still wont appear. We can perform troubleshooting steps to check for any underlying browser cache issue.

We'll start by accessing QuickBooks Self-Employed account in a private window. Depending on the browser you're using, use the keyboard shortcut listed below:

  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + N

If the order details shows and everything looks good, return to your previous browser and clear the cache. You can also use other compatible browsers as an alternative.

I've also added this article for additional reference: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know if you need further assistance or have other concerns about QuickBooks Self-Employed. I'll be here to help. Keep safe!
