BY FAR one of the WORST support and service groups I have dealt with. Months later they still can not fix a simple email issue. However - I find it funny that all the promo emails get to me and the billing emails. On top of that their support and customer service is terrible - I was on chat for over 1 hour then got cut off and you know what that means back into the system. I was sent to support via phone --- that was even worse - someone picked up and did nothing but cough in the background and at one time coughed right into the phone. NO SUPPORT/NO SERVICE. If you are looking for timely - professional service - You will not get it here. Just suffer - I have been - it's hard to change all your business billing systems, etc. when it's been a while and you need to find a seamless way to change. If you are new - I would consider someone else who actually has a support/service system

Being able to manage billing and marketing emails, and your account is a great option. I know you've been dealing with this for a while, and having such a reaction especially with your experience with support is natural as a human. I would do the same if I were in your situation.
I'll help you manage your email preference, update your email in the account, and your billing as well.
To start, you can access your Intuit account through QuickBooks and change your communication preferences. If you need to change your email address for billing emails, you can also do it from there. However, this does not change your Master Admin email address which is used for your business transactions.
With regards to updating your payment details, you can do that within your QuickBooks company. If you have more than one companies, you can open each of them to update this information.

Online backup of what? Are you using QBO Advanced or Intuit Data Protect?
