Thanks for reaching out, luis18.

Setting up sales rep is only available in QuickBooks Dekstop. You'll want to utilize the class and location tracking feature in QuickBooks Online. Then, pull up the Sales by Class Detail report. This will give you the same data you need. Please note to turn this feature on

Once turned on, you can create a class in QBO. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings and then All Lists.
  2. Select Classes.
  3. Click New. Give this class a name.
  4. Select Save.

You can learn more information about creating and managing classes in QuickBooks Online in this article.

Then, to run the Sales by Class Detail report, please follow down the steps I outlined below:

  1. Go to the Reports tab.
  2. In the search field enter Sales, and select Sales by Class Detail.

I'm also adding an article about customizing reports for your guide.

I'm just a post away if you need more help.

@luis18

Consider having a CRM app to do so. You don't need to give any access to QBO.

Hi, i need to be able to take  total sales and split out the sale total only (no shipping or tax) as 80% and 20% to to different beneficiaries (two separate companies).  I need to be able to run a (custom memorized) bi-weekly sales report showing what the sales were, in detail, and the total for each company (20 or 80%).  Am I able to do this in QB Online and if so, how?

Hey there, @wb5992.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for support. I'm happy to lend a helping hand with your split transaction.

When you enter a transaction into the register, only one account can be associated with it. But if you need to list multiple accounts, you can enter a split transaction into the register. I've included the steps to enter a split transaction below.

  1. Go to Accounting and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account for the transaction.
  3. Under the Action column, hit View register.
  4. Tap the transaction, then click on Edit. The entry screen for that particular transaction opens.
  5. Enter the other accounts to add the amount. Please Note: The amounts for each account should add up to the total amount of the transaction.
  6. Select Save.

Now that we've covered how to enter your split transaction let's find a report that best works for you.

I recommend checking out a few different reports in the For my accountant section. These reports cover all your sales history, such as the Balance Sheet report, Profit and Loss, and Transaction Detail by Account.

Hi there, rose_gildor.

QuickBooks integrates with hundreds of third-party software developers.

While I’m unable to recommend an app, I can route you to the website where you can look for an application specific to your business needs. From there, you can integrate the app to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Additionally, to view a wide range of options, use specific keywords to narrow down the search. You can check the reviews from other customers to help you decide which app suits your business type and needs.

@rose_gildor

What kind of business do you run? A few CRM apps are fit for a specific industry (e.g construction, field service, non profit).
