Good day, @vicki2.
Glad you joined us here in the Community space. It’s my pleasure to provide some insights when it comes to changing product prices and effect it has on your recurring invoices.
Great news! Changing the price of your product and services won’t affect all the recurring invoices that occurred before the change. If you want to get the correct EOY reports for 2018, make the update of the prices on the first of January next year.
Once you’re ready to make the change, you can also update the price in all of your recurring templates. Here’s how you can do that:
1. Click the Gear icon and select Products and Services.
2. Select the product you want to update and click Edit.
3. From the Product/Service Information screen, make the necessary changes.
4. On the Sales price/rate box, enter the new price.
5. Mark the Update price in recurring templates, too box.
6. Click the Save and close button to save the changes.
Now, you can do the same to the rest of the products you have. For reference on how to update item prices in recurring templates, you can take a look at this article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Account-management/Update-item-prices-in-recurring-templates....
Feel free to reach out to me if you need anything else. I’ll be here to keep helping. Wishing you and your business success!
I have tried to update my recurring transactions with new prices but when I check the box to update the prices in recurring transactions, it says it saves but the templates are not updated. Does the recurring TX have to take place for the update to happen?
Hi treasurer24,
It doesn’t need for recurring transactions to take place first to update the price. By default, any recurring transactions will reflect the updated price once you checked the box and successfully change the price of the item.
Let’s check your recurring transactions and press F5 three times to refresh the page. If the updated price will not reflect, deselect and select the item again. This toggling step will reflect the updated price.
If you'll experience the same thing in the future, please message our Chat support team to investigate this.
Feel free to go back to this thread if you have more questions.

We don't have any reported issue at this time, @howardjennings.
The steps provided by @KhimG should generally work when updating item prices in recurring templates. Since refreshing the page didn't reflect the updated price, it'd be best to reach out to our Online Support as suggested by @JessT to investigate this further.
Our chat support will be available on Monday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST.
For additional troubleshooting, you may try signing in to your account using a different browser to check if the recurring transactions have already reflected the updated price. If it does, you may need to clear the cache of your regular browser to delete the stored data that may be causing some odd errors.
Should you have other questions or clarifications, do let me know. I'll be around if you need help.
