Hi dipz845,
Thank you for posting in the Community. I'll be sure to point you in the right direction about showing the Total Quantity on your invoice.
In QuickBooks Online, you can customize the invoice template to add the quantity of each item on the invoice. However, it doesn't currently have the option to show the Total Quantity.
It's my priority to provide you with the best experience possible. I suggest letting our Product Development Team know that adding the Total Quantity is beneficial for your business. QuickBooks Online is constantly improving thanks to the ideas provided by users, like yourself.

I was looking for information regarding total item quantity count on invoices and ran across this post.
We need this feature as well since we are manually calculating the total case count and mistakes are easy to make and confuse customers.
We're in the same situation. We'd like the option to add a quantity total on our invoices so our QA and fulfillment teams can confirm total cases shipped. Please add this option.
Can this please be addressed and fixed asap. You can subtotal by $, why not by quantity?
We are also trying to show the total quantity per line item on an invoice which is for only a percentage (%) of the total amount due. To our surprise and disappointment, the quantity shown in the line item of the invoice is the calculation of the total quantity multiplied by the respective % due. This is causing doubts from our clients and their Procurement teams.
Please could you make this feature available? We just migrated to Quickbooks Online and the local version we used previously has this feature. Thanks.

This issue has been outstanding and unaddressed since at least 2018. The same "submit feedback" suggestion was given almost 3 years ago. QB has ignored it.
Is the feature available on the desktop version??
Hi, Cobbycephas. I appreciate for following this thread about the total quantity feature in QuickBooks.
If you want to show the total qty of the used items in the invoice, that option is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop.
However, if you want to see the total qty per item in the invoice, you can click the dropdown arrow to show the Quantity on Hand. When creating an invoice, it includes the qty of items being sold, and QuickBooks will automatically update the quantity on hand based on sales. This feature helps you keep track of your inventory levels and ensures accurate reporting.

It is imperative that the feature be added to show the full quantity on a 50% invoice. The existing situation is causing undue confusion for our customers and unnecessary complications. We have been awaiting this enhancement since 2018, and it is high time it is implemented. The delay in addressing this matter is inexplicable.
