Multicurrency in QBO Issues

I have US based charity organization. We also have locations in India which accepts donations in INR. However, the local locations need to be able to also show A&R, Foreign currency salary statement, P&L and all other reports in INR also. Currently, everything shows as USD. Indian locations are setup as Locations with labels as businesses. Also everytime we enter any expenses and click, we keep get a message "You're about to leave this page without saving". Why? Never seen this issue before.

Multicurrency in QBO Issues

Hi there, @mitalivasa.

I'm here to help you resolve your concern about multi-currency in QuickBooks Online. So, you can review your INR data as soon as possible.

Plentiful cache files on your browser can sometimes cause a problem like being unable to see the A&R, foreign currency salary statement, P&L, or any reports for your India currency.

With this, I'd recommend doing some essential tricks to get rid of the dilemma. To start, please log in to your account via incognito. These browsers won't save any browsing histories.

Feel free to use these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Once logged in, re-check and re-run the said report above to confirm it's already functioning appropriately. If it's, I'd advise you to go back to your standard browser and clear the cache. Deleting your cache and history may clear up some room on your computer and eliminate some issues.

If the problem keeps going, you have an option to use other supported browsers

Once everything is good, you can now go back to tracking the INR data and save the expenses.

Additionally, please check these articles below about the promoted currencies, the multicurrency most commonly asked questions, and other topics.

Keep me posted if you have other questions about currencies. I'm happy to present an explanation and resolution. Keep safe.

Multicurrency in QBO Issues

Hi,

I was always able to enter transaction is INR. But the Statement of Activity report still shows in home currency. I did everything you recommended - Incognito mode, cleared up cache. I still cannot generate P&L in INR/foreign currency.

Thanks for getting back to us, mitalivasa. The steps provided above should help you fix the issue.

Since you're still unable to generate the report in INR currency, I would recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Support team to have this better checked. They have more tools, like screen sharing, that can help you resolve your concern. Here's how:

  1. Open QB Assistant by clicking the Help menu.
  2. Select Talk to a human
  3. When asked, enter something like "generate P&L in INR currency."
  4. Proceed with I still need a human.
  5. Click the Get help from a human link.
  6. Select Get a callback or Start a message

Please take note of our business hours to ensure we can attend to your needs.
