I can share some information to bring the missing transaction in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Can you tell me the name of your financial institution before we begin? This is for me to look into an ongoing investigation related to your bank and offer you the best solution to resolve it.
Once you've linked your bank account, QuickBooks will automatically download transactions. You might experience some bank connection issues that's why the income and expenses transactions for December are missing. Let's manually refresh your bank connection and double-check that the associated bank account isn't toggled off.
Here's how:
If the issue persists, manually importing them is another option. Here's an article that contains the full procedure on how to do it: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Once you've seen the transactions, you can begin categorizing them to ensure that they're placed in the appropriate account: For further information, please see this resource: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Don't hesitate to add any details below if you need further assistance with bank transactions. I'll keep an eye on this thread and get back with more information.
My bank is addition financial. I logged in to the website, not the app and hit refresh all. That seemed to refresh my overall income for the year but didn't correct the individual transactions not showing up for the month of December

When tying to upload the CSV of the transactions to the import page, an error pops up. "Darn. File upload failed...."
Hello ahoneycutt-menta,
Thank you for trying to upload your transactions and for doing the steps that my colleagues shared. Let me continue to help you further.
If you haven't already, please check your Date filter in the Transactions section and make sure it's set to All.
About the error you shared, we've also received similar reports from our QBSE users in the UK, and it's being investigated by our Online Banking team. In connection with this, can you please reach out to our QBSE Support shortly to report this behavior? That way, they can get your account details in a secure environment and investigate this further, especially for US users. You can provide this investigation number to the agent: INV-64566.
I'm just around if you have another question about your bank transactions.
What is the same effective "fix" as the refresh button in QB Business View? I'm not seeing anything equivalent to "refresh"

I'm here to guide you on how to manually refresh your bank feeds in QuickBooks Online.
In QuickBooks Online, you can manually download the latest available transaction by clicking the Update button. It has the same functionality with the Refresh button for the online banking in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Here's how:
This will update all of your linked bank and credit card accounts in QuickBooks. It will also increase the number of transactions in each account tile.
Here's an article you can use if you see error messages or don't see recently downloaded bank transactions: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
I'm also adding this link to learn how you can categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
I'll be in touch if you have any other concerns or additional questions about banking. Have a wonderful day!
