Need simple instructions to entirely remove Bill Pay by Melio

Hi there, @russkostin3.

 

In QuickBooks Online, you have the option to disconnect the app. 

 

If you're the user that connected the app, visit the Intuit App Center, then unlink the connection between the programs. 

 

Here' how:

  1. Go to Apps from the left menu.
  2. Choose My Apps.
  3. Find Melio from the list. 
  4. Tap Disconnect from the Action drop-down. 
  5. Complete the short questionnaire.
  6. Click Confirm Disconnect to remove the app from your company profile.

However, if you're unable to find Disconnect in the menu, select Settings. Then, click the Disconnect button on the settings page.

 

If you're not the user that connected the app, I'd suggest switching the user access of the app. Since only the Admin users can connect and manage apps for the company. 

 

Here's how: 

  1. Go to Apps from the left menu.
  2. Search the Melio app. 
  3. Choose the app, then Get app now.
  4. Check the Authorization page and hit Connect.
  5. Verify the message details and choose Switch Admin.
  6. If necessary, adjust the settings. 
  7. Ensure the app is associated with your user ID.

Once done, follow the first batch of steps to disconnect the app, I've provided above.

Let me be more specific: My desktop QBO has no apps connected. The problem remains on my android mobile app. I've cleared the cache and data as well as trying an uninstall. Nope. Bill Pay won't go away on the mobile app.

Since there's no app connected to QBO, I'd suggest contacting Melio customer care support to remove the entire application. You can also reach them through this link by clicking the Message icon below the screen: Melio Chat.

So.. not sure that this actually works for Melio.  Seems as though the user that added the app - while "disconnecting" the app thru the steps outlined - it doesn't actually disconnect.  Very concerned that there is no way the admin or Master admin can actually disconnect the app.  

Melio customer support is less than zero; non-existent infact.  this is posing a problem for my IT and auditors who can't get comfortable with controls surrounding Melio - and as such are now not comfortable with Quickbooks.  I think Quickbooks/Intuit should consider how they can support users and ensure that the connect AND disconnect functions work.

Allow me to share some clarification about disconnecting a third-party application in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

As stated by my colleague MirriamM above, only the QuickBooks Admin or Master Admin can disconnect an app. Since the app is still connected after trying to disconnect it, I suggest performing some basic troubleshooting first to check to it's a browser data issue.

 

If it's still won't disconnect, I highly recommend contacting our Phone Support Team. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide some troubleshooting steps to get this fixed. Also, they can coordinate with Melio to review what's happening.

 

To reach them, click the Help button at the top-right corner and select Contact Us to talk with a live agent.

I am the master admin and have troubleshot the removal of melio bill pay app. After I clear cookies and site data to then delete the app, as your team suggested, QBO forces a sign out.  So I am attaching the list of all the cookies which were removed as it appears some of them need to stay in order for the app to be successfully removed.  Please inform which to keep, which to delete prior to removing the app.

i am the admin and I cannot remove the app.  Your steps seem easy but I never get to the "confirm delete" step.

don't worry.  even after getting that confirm message you're not fully removed from their app.  I followed the steps through the confirm deleted and still receive messages that they are linked to my account.  Apparently you can't get rid of this app.

This is NOT true.  I followed the steps through the confirm delete.  The app no longer shows on MY APPS, yet I continue to receive emails from Melio stating I have bills that need to be paid.  Apparently this app cannot be fully removed.
