Join nowThis is a big problem. Since QBO doesn't seem concerned about addressing this problem, has anyone looked into alternative programs? If so, have you found any programs that look worthwhile? I'm planning on spending the day looking for a new invoicing program. I need to be able to remove the product/service column on the PDF view, and I also need to keep the functionality allowing customers to pay directly from the email/invoice. I don't even care if I have to pay more at this point!
This is a real mess. Trying to create a template is confusing. Why can't I create a template in Modern View???? Really. Trash this mess!! Start over.
Am I supposed to click on "Standard" under other templates? Is this still the "modern" view? No one is being clear about this.

None of this affects the "modern" invoice.
Hello,
I have followed these instructions...but still when I email my customers their estimate, they are able to see a different version of the estimate even I selected the template that I created. Please advise when this will be fixed.
Kara

Also, is there a way to apply the "Standard" version to all invoices? Or do we have to do this for each and every invoice?
It's nice to welcome you back in the thread, Suzanne. I'll guide you through the process of applying the Standard version to all your invoices.
After following the steps given by my colleague in creating a template, you mentioned that none of it affects the "modern" invoice. To fix this, you'll need to ensure that the new design you created is marked as default for it to be applied. Please refer to the steps below:
Regarding the Standard version, this is the default form style in QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you haven't created other templates, this will automatically apply to all your sales forms. However, you also have the option to customize this.
If you set other templates as default, you can remove them as default so that the Standard version will be applied to all your invoices. This eliminates the need to do this for every invoice you create. Here's how:
