Join nowI need job cost reports exported to a .csv format. It has been requested by one of my clients to export a report to .csv so they can do a pivot table and some graphs with the data. There are 40-50 active projects and quite a few accounts (from the chart of accounts) that need to be displayed. Which report(s) would work best for this? I am looking for both Desktop and QBO reports.
thanks in advance

thank you, that is great information. Is there a particular report that works best for the type of data I will need in order to process a pivot table that contains all pertinent job information.
Hey there, @57books.
For now, those are the available reports you can pull up to view projects and jobs. You'll need to customize these reports in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online to add or delete information.
I want to make sure that you'll be able to generate reports that you need. It would be great if you can provide what specific data you'll require to export. This way, I can check any other applicable reports for you.
I look forward to your reply. I'd be glad to help you some more. Have a wonderful day.
I would recommend QB Desktop for your case. Premier edition with a one time license is a good start. Then you may upgrade to Enterprise edition with the Advanced Reporting feature if your client is familiar with SQL.
