I'll be glad to assist you with your QR code concern. However, in order to provide a timely solution, I need to gather more information about the issue.
How did you add the QR code to the invoice? Do you use QuickBooks Time or a third-party app? Did you receive a QuickBooks Online (QBO) update to install the code? I'd appreciate it if you could include some screenshots so that we can investigate this further.
I eagerly await your response and the opportunity to work with you again. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
Intuit must have added the QR code and payment link options. I have no idea. I don't want them on my invoices and have the ability to turn both of those options off each time I "print preview" my invoices but it just creates more work for me to have to do that with every single invoice. I don't see a way to permanently turn those options off in settings. See attached screenshot.
Thanks!
Thanks for getting back to this thread, @dawnjohnson.
I recognize how relevant turning off payment links and QR code in the settings to your business is. Currently, you can only manually uncheck them when opening an invoice.
At times, we roll out enhancements based on our customer's requests. That being said, I suggest sending a recommendation to our product developers. They'll review this idea and might consider updating it in the future.
Here's how:
You can also utilize this link to check the status and keep you in the loop on our progress of your request: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.
In the meantime, you can continue turning both options off each time you print preview your invoices.
I also encourage you to visit this resource that will guide you in personalizing your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Bummer. I generate 50-75 invoices per month. Having to deal with unchecking boxes is tedious. Seems like there should be an option to customize my invoices to fit my business by turning that off like many of the other features. Although I'm honestly not surprised because Intuit is trying to generate more revenue by increasing opportunities to charge a service fee for customers using the online payment system. Give me that option please. Don't force me into it. The monthly amount I pay is already increasing, and I have not seen any new benefit to my business.
I'll make sure to post my feedback within the app. Thanks for your help.
How can I check the status of the feedback summited?
Creating more work for the user is not a solution. These two items - Pay Invoice and QR Code - are not appropriate for my business and I should not have to print to PDF prior to uncheck these items before I email and invoice. WE are your customer... please listen to us! And yes, before you say it, I have already submitted this through "Feedback".
Amazing. Intuit has added a totally unnecessary "feature" which cannot be disabled. A 5-minute fix for Intuit's programmers. Looks like another instance of me needing to manually edit PDFs after QBO is done messing them up.
100% agree with QBO users. I rarely opt in to discussions like this, but this is also a PIMA to have to uncheck the unnecessary items on the invoice each time when printing invoices (~40-70/month). Having no simple tick box option when setting up and customizing invoices is suggesting to use QBO for processing all payments - and having a float period for SMB. Note to Product Management: This is not winning folks and a simple program update (literally 5 mins). Please save the auto-generated response of "Our dev staff is working on it...".
In the same boat as the others on this thread. This is essentially forcing users to work with QuickBooks Payments as their merchant processor. It is an absolute waste of time to have to uncheck the payment link and QR code for each and every invoice. Very frustrated.
